Topic says it all. Im not there yet, but i need to know if i can comfortly keep stacking defensive gear or i have to get a ton more of dmg before trying it.

Oh thx nice advice with corners - i would propably just run in circles :/
Oh good, i didnt know he was nerfed that much again. Tbh i have never done him on inferno at any point, always got bored in act 1 or died and made new char
But so far my WD looks promising, im still in act 1 (no time to play more otherwise i would be already in act3/dead by now). 15k dps? Then i guess my 19k pets and 22k fire spells will be more than eneugh, will propably have even more by the time i get to Ghom.
Im using this build http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#bcUXYT!ace!cacZca along with The Burning Axe of Sankis. Im not big fan of Big Bad Voodoo :/ , i was thinking of switching Horrify for Pyrogeist (just for Ghom), to have additional consistent fire dmg. I think having Pyrogeist up all the time would deliver more dmg than Slam Dance...

As you said, you have been stacking defensive stats so your pets should sustain a lot of damage. I only stacked regen and HP, but at Ghom I had like 56k hp and 800 regen or something, 4k armor and 350~400 resists. Garg didn't die once.
I think I had 27k dps, took me 2 minutes, maybe less to kill him.

16k only? And you were able to kill him on inferno before he fills entire room in gas clouds? Was your kill made after Ghom was buffed?
