I switched up my build a bit and it seems to work for every pack of mobs in Act 3 Inferno for the new patch. Feel free to use this if you want but it feels like a lot more builds will be viable once you build up some resist gear. I think we have a bit more freedom now.
First off my stats (rough estimates) -
37k hp
36k dps
500 phys resist
400-450 other resists
It's still a dart build, but I've found with the new changes I get 3-5 shot instead of 1 shot by everything so a few changes helped the build work really well.
1.) Soul Harvest w/ healing - I dropped soul harvest in Act 2 Inferno before the patch. It just wasn't worth using the spirit walk cooldown when you could be 1 shot by anything. This is less of a risk now and the healing is actually helpful now that we aren't 1 shot. The DPS boost is REALLY needed as well thanks to the IAS nerf and it's easy to keep a 5 stack up in Act 3.
2.) Jungle Fort - Now that going defensive is more viable than before... this is a great passive to make our healing from soul harvest and hex more viable. I don't currently have much LoH but I'm sure that will make it even better. I'm thinking about dropping my crit gem in my weapon for LoH just to see how that works.
I'm tempted to drop spirit vessel for blood ritual but there are still times when I get cornered with spirit walk on cooldown and vessel will save my life. It would be nice to have that extra regen or possibly bad medicine for even more damage reduction. That choice is up to you.... personally I like having an extra life.
The hardest thing is mortar + something that traps you, invulnerable, and illusionist... everything else is pretty easy.
