Subj.
My corpse spiders hit for 3-4k, but crit not more than 6. I have 154 crit damage (they have to crit 10k+).
Who else noticed something like this ?
The OP is worded a bit confusing, but what I think he is saying, is that with 154% bonus crit damage, a spider with a normal hit of 4K should be doing (4,000 + (4,000 * 1.54)) = 10160 damage. 6K crits seem like just the base 50% crit bonus.
(I have no experience with this myself, don't play a WD)
I'm guessing the coefficient is lower since when you cast the spell it casts multiple spiders and each spider can hit multiple times. You won't get the full effect of your crit damage % on each spider hit. Similar to life on hit.
I have 62k damage in stats (62k dps) and 2.464 aps, 29 crit and 154 bonus crit damage. Pure white damage from which spells with no cd are calculated will be 62 043 / (2,464) / (1 + (0.29 * 1.54)) = 17406 average weapon damage (exluding crit and IAS).
Spiders bite for 19%, so average spider bite will be:
17406 * 0.19 = 3307 (it's ok: most part of hits is 2200 - 4500)
average crit:
3307 * (1+1.54) = 8399 (it's NOT ok: i haven't seen crit more than 6,5k. Most of them are 3-5k+)
Bug or spiders just have crits that don't get benefit from crit damage bonuses?
Allow me to thank you for this report about Corpse Spiders not getting crit from your gear.
It has been my concern to run through the known issues and it saddens me to tell you that I did not find other reports about this. Not to worry though, I will personally file one for you, on this matter, so that Development Team can look into this as soon as possible and let us know if this is intended.
I'll bump this.
Because after IAS nerf spiders become even more actual.
We can fix this problem together by forcing tickets to support.
I'm asking you to open "i have found a bug" ticket in your account settings and report that "corpse spiders don't get any benefit from +critical damage".
It would be much easier for you to support your theory by doing actual tests and not just giving us singular numbers.
How about you go try doing
100 corpse spider hits at 50% CD
100 corpse spider hits at 154% CD
Also i believe your math is wrong for your weapon damage. You should try something like this
Min - Max weapon dmg * Int -> then multiply by 19%.
that should be how much your corpse spider should be doing, since it's kinda wrong to compute backwards from DPS since you don't know the actual formula they use to compute it.
Also i think that the armor of your enemies should be a factor, you might be ignoring that.

There could be some soft mistakes in calculations. But it doesn't matter at all, because it doesn't matter how much damage make my spiders.
It's about difference between hits and crits. For other spells my current 200+ crit damage is notable. It shows HUGE difference between hits and crits. х3 crits can be seen w/o calculations.
For spiders the difference is minimal and don't even reaches x2.
Here you are: calcs with 217 CRD (spiders tab). In reality hits match, but crits are no more than 8-9 k but minimal crits are much less than the table shows.
My calculations are wrong again ?
