Life on Hit + Locust Swarm?

    My question is simple. Lets say I have 1000 life on hit. If I use Locust Swarm, will it give me 1000 LoH for the first mob it hits ONLY.........or will it give me 1000 LoH for every mob it chains to?

    Locust Swarm - 33% per target, same as haunt. Each time it spreads it will hit, but no bonus from the DOT.
    Pestilence - 33%
    Devouring Swarm
    Cloud of Insects
    Diseased Swarm
    Searing Locusts - 33%

    As a side question, how does life on hit work with spiders then?

    And does somebody know by how much life on hit gets reduced in inferno?

    Life on hit does not get reduced at all. It is just normalized per spell, as you see above with locust swarm only granting 33% of your total LoH. There's a post on the US forums showing most of the normalizations, which is where Myrx got his information from.

    Spiders only give LoH on the jar landing, not on any of the spider's attacks. Darts give 100% (33% per splinter).

    Life Steal can hit multiple targets. If you have 6% and you're an AOE caster it's not bad.

    Life steal only has 20% effectiveness in inferno. If you have 6%, you actually only have 1.2%. It will eventually outscale life on hit, but currently it isn't very good at all. Perhaps after the IAS nerf life on hit won't be as amazing as it is. We'll just have to wait and see.

    I know that, but I can hit ~15+ enemies very easily with my wall/grasp/spirit barrage. Often with spirit barrage enemies are just running into it. It's viable, jus tnobody has the gold to be trying all these different setups and those people aren't tough enough to be running barrage yet.
