Do you think thorns may become a viable strategy for WD? I think you can get up to 450 damage returned now, by you AND your pets. Maybe this could tip the scales in pvp? Imagine a frenzy or ww barb rushing through your little army, he'll easily take a couple of thousands extra damage that he didn't anticipate.
So do you think this could work? It would be a shame if stats like damage returned were useless again...
I think it will be a viable approach to PVP and Inferno.
I was looking into a "passive damage" build for the Monk (AKA "thorns") and it seemed to have a lot of potential damage output.
After seeing how much Blizzard put into that type of style for the Monk, I'm sure that they thought it was something people might want to try out. Stacking thorns damage should be far from useless from what I've seen. It may not be balanced correctly in the end but it looks like it's something they want to be tried out and used.
hell yea man. stacked over 70 thorn dmg in the beta, even in a co op games most mobs one shotted themselves on me. lawl. it was a lot of fun. and will be AMAZING to have the WD with 5 pets running around all with massive thorn dmg on them.

this is exactly like something i did in diablo 2 i ran a massive skele army and gave my merc the bramble armor and they wrecked shit with that thorns aura lol

yeah that plus amplify damage they basically punched themselves in the face
and the same thing will be achievable with the WD giving all his pets thorn dmg. leveling with a thorny pet WD will be lazytown. and if some mobs cleave and hit multiple pets at once... man that'll be great. if you could give your pets thorn dmg in the beta the SK would faceroll himself within a few hits because of his big swing radius.

indeed. and playing with fun people also makes it a lot better. hate playing with weird guys or ppl who never talk. like its so hard to talk n play at the same time.
