The game is still in beta and mana tuning (mana regen, mana costs scaling, etc) are still in the works. There is no reason to assume what works and how it works in the lvl 1-13 normal mode beta will remotely reflect how mana costs and mana regen functions in the full release post lvl 13 post normal mode difficulty and with actual gear. The bickering over how mana works is a completely useless argument as realistically you are both wrong.
That said, you would be a complete idiot to think some of the mana costs of some WD spells arent going to see any more tuning, or are never going to see any scaling. The mana rework was only a week ago or so and you are calling people retards for not knowing how it works? The mana costs are messed up on some skills right now and dont make any sense (toads and acid rain to name a couple). It is not final. It is beta. Stop extrapolating from level 13 normal beta what will be viable in retail release nightmare+.

lmao bro gtfo of the theorycrafting build threads. you obviously have no idea what your talking about. saying "its all going to change bla bla" isnt even close to a real argument. just because they changed it ONCE in SIX MONTHS doesnt mean its going to change at all. absolutely nothing points to that happening. and no one is using any argument that somethign that works in beta will work in inferno. there is absolutely nothing in this thread claiming that. its about the mana which scales with each level. the CURRENT version of mana works how i stated. end of story. i am right and your just trying to get involved in a thread clearly out of bordom because your talking out of your butt.

Theres a difference between making a build you expect to have actual balance, and just saying "mana costs dont scale right now! all +mana passives and runes are trash and are worthless! Here is my inferno build with PtV, high mana spells, and no mana regen!"

Yah but he doesn't have any high spamming spells (toads lol) to eat up a lot of mana just summons, so you're a bit off... I'll follow you logic... arcane orb is SOOO OP so OMG not going to use it in a build because it will be balanced in the future and not worth grabbing!!!!!

mana received a turning pass. did you miss that in the P13 notes? spells no longer scale from 1 to 60. and i never said ANYTHING about mana passives or runes being trash OR worthless. and your regen is 25 mana/sec from 1 to 60 also.
like slayer said im only using the absolute lowest costing mana spell to spam. thats the ONLY reason why this build works. no where in my build em i using any high costing mana skills at all. i have 1 super low costing spammable spell and all the rest have 8+ second cooldowns. so 8 secondsx25 mana regen = 200 mana, and since none of the skills cost more then 200 mana ill always have enough to cast them and spam PoT
in theorycrafting you adapt to what the current system is and make a build. the current system says this build is perfectly viable and pretty awesome. if it changes in the future then i will obviously change it accordingly.
