3. Your weapon damage is increased by 20% and the the calculations are made. So for example zombie dogs from 15% would deal 15% + 1.2*15% = 18% which seems very balanced and very probable. But with skills that deal high base % like haunt's 500% dmg the increase is greater, coz new haunt would deal 500% + 1.2*500% = 600% which is 100% increase
If I could I would bet on this. And this is not imbalanced because of different mechanics. Dogs tank and do damage (even forever per one cast) while haunt only do damage. If skills are balanced without +20% it also will be after.
This is how it worked in D2 and will MOST LIKELY be the same for D3.
Passive skills that provides damage bonus do it by adding a multiplicator in the final value multiplicatively.
This is a really good question, but I think it will not add. The zd's damage scales with your weapon damage and Pierce the Veil does not effect your "weapon damage" substat (it effects the final damage of normal attacks and other skills). As the zd damage and your dmg are different things.
The same logic explains why some effect linked to your attacks (lifesteal for exemple) does not work on your zd minions but it works on all other skills. Of course, some stuff works completly behind the scenes and requires carefull testing. But at principle, i would guess it does not effect.
Anyway, ZD's doesn't kill anystuff anyway. My boss rusher WDs have 70 DPS at level 3 and my minions can't kill risen dudes from the first quest properly !
.
A more relevant question, I think, would be - does Pierce the Veil affect the damage of your Summons, or only your direct-damage spells, like Plague of Toads and Haunt?
Saying 'All damage dealt by you and your minions is increased by...', would be conclusive, but the way its currently worded makes me feel like the damage bonus might only apply to direct-damage skills.
I'm curious, it just says all damage.. Will this affect summons?
