Not sure if anyone has pointed it out on the forums yet, but in the beta right now, when you kill a target that has haunt on them and it goes to another target.. the duration isn't refreshed.
At level 13 it lasts 6 seconds.. if I put it on target X and it died in 4 seconds and it went to haunt target Y, it would only last the remaining 2 seconds of the full 6 second duration.
This makes me not want to use it anymore. :<
On a random note, "1% damage converted to life" property on weapons give you life back from all abilities not just melee attacks, including grasp of the dead.. attacks from my zombie dogs, however, didn't return life.. Only my personal spell casting abilities.(The spider summons DID return damage however, it must only be excluded from permanent summons)

Haunt is still amazing. It's a low cost delayed damage dealer. Basicly you can cast it 3 times (onto 3 different targets) and it does damage for 15s (at lvl 60), while you are free to cast other spell, or reposition yourself. Delayed damage is a great way to increase your burst damage, if you combine it with other damaging spell you apply afterwards.

actually they removed the max 3 targets from the tooltip.

Oh wow, thanks for pointing this out. It really makes me like Haunt, and the WD as a whole, a lot less. It was my favorite ability because I imagined it would jump forever and be awesome. Apparently not =[
you've tried casting it on 4 mobs and the first haunt you casted didnt kill the mob?
As soon as I get home i will test it.
well itll be hard in normal mode, because mobs die so fast. might have to take off your weapons lol. because you have to get it on the 4th mob before the first one dies to see if it dissapears

I"m pretty sure I've haunted 4 cultists o.O It might be my major lag issue (300 ping sucks). Later i post a video.
alright thanks man. would be nice to know once n for all
thinking about it. i wondered why the duration was so high at lvl 60. i was like "in a game where you need to rapidly kill monsters why is this duration 15 whole seconds?" so it has time to jump once or twice (if your powerful enough). so i guess it makes sense :D. although that makes the alabster rune change (300% dmg over 3 seconds) really useless unless your spamming it on a boss.

I thought killing haunted enemies to extend it's effect would be a great mechanic.
the simplified tooltips were meant to make it easy to understand, not completely remove a major part of the ability's mechanics. lol
Say it to desintegrate hahaha
lol why?
you've tried casting it on 4 mobs and the first haunt you casted didnt kill the mob?
According to Desintegrate's tooltips, the skill is not channeling spell. But it is.

OH really? how much dmg/duration is it at lvl 13? so at lvl 60 its 500% dmg/17 seconds

Ohh and the removal of the "max 3 mobs" occurred way before the large change in tooltips.
A QUADRILLION MAGIC FIND is worthless if you can't kill shit!
