Hey everybody!
Just like the previous 2 seasons, here is the Witch Doctor "Meta" build guide. I think it's nice to have all the top builds in one place for a reference, then you can just bookmark the page.
Within the next couple of days I'll be working on fleshing out the written guides as well as uploading videos.
- WD pets don't proc Oculus ring, I hope it's already been reported
- Follower is just standing and doing nothing most of the time (Enchantress)
- Zombie Dogs vs Pirhando: without Pirhando and with the modified CC, mobs just running around, as my pets too, hitting single mobs, no AD efficiency
- >75% of Rift Guardian simply impossible to kill with pet build: teleporting, knocking pets constantly, spawns deflect my pets
- Not to mention most of the maps just leave/start game
My 2.4.1 HT WD was able to do 92, but not higher, paragon cap I think, need more AR and some VIT on paragon. With RoE my power is nearly the same, with some fishing I've closed 93 (15:35).
Conclusion: for higher solo gr RoE makes no difference in solo mode, I need gem upgrade (with the nerfs it will be very hard to do) and paragon farming, sounds very boring.
Check your T10 LoN Walker build, I did comment about playability with 2.4.2 there. Maybe you want to have a look

I think the LoN Walker build is still going to be great for 25-60 GRIFTS for low level gem leveing. For Torment 13, without really crazy good gear, it'll be tough to make it efficient enough.
I'm curious about the Jade solo build; The Furnace over Wormwood? I can see both weapons working; I'm guessing The Furnace just allows for potentially better clearing the higher you go, though the high mana cost on LS can be annoying.
I talk about it a bit in the written guide on that spec, I think The Furnace version is the highest DPS potential but it make turn out that Wormwood just makes the gameplay so much smoother, that it turns out to be better.

I don't know how you can say RoE makes no difference, the damage is WAAAAAAY higher with this change, not to mention you get much quicker single target kills by spamming Haunt on Rift Guardians and stacking Stricken up very high.

Yes, the damage is higher on paper, and I thought it puts me at least 1-2 gr higher with the same gear. I will try the Templar and some skill variations, but the oculus bug makes huge handicap )-:
"The good news is we've been working on a hotfix instead. Ring of Emptiness now only works on damage dealt directly by your Witch Doctor and not your pets. This hotfix should hit servers momentarily, well before the launch of Season 7."
I already switched to Jade - played Garg already last season. It's definitely more work, but it's also a lot of fun. The damage is pretty good but you need need to take care with the thoughness. I am playing with Wormwood in the cube for now (instead of Furnace). The movement speed also helps at 10 stacks of SH. I used Bad Medicine at first, but switched to Swampland Attunement which is excellent in very big packs. Only the RG is a problem sometimes. Enchantress seems to work ok with Jade. I see a lot more Oculus proccs than with the Garg build.

Agree to the follower part, I will switch back to Templar, keeps me alive, 3% AS is simply not worthed in high grs.
On the other hand, I'm extremly unlucky with RGs (-:
