Bonus damage from rings sounds pretty nice, even after nerf.. at least it sounds bigger then damage bonus you get from full Zuni, and damage reduction seems also better then on zuni, the only drawback as i see = no perma-army.. but we have SMK cubed, so who care?
This way we get +100%x13 damage vs 275% from zuni, also you have space for Tasker and Theo, and as you not use Bastion set - you dont need something to trigger its bonus, this gives you more space with skills too
Fetishes, Garg ring in cube. I tried different variants later, no garg but firewall instead with new Ring of Emptiness (but seems it doesn't apply to fetish damage, only my damage, so Garg's are probably the way to go).
Just bunched ancient legs together, missing all those skill effects, like:
Just test of Fetish build on GR65 with Litany of the Undaunted and Wailing host rings. And Garg ring in cube.
First try. Pls note at time of recording only 12 items ancient, also I would prefer to have Death Watch mantle shoulders, Aquilla Cuirass chest armor, Swamp land waders or Pox Faulds as pants. Boots either Fire walkers, Ice climbers or Illusory Boots.
I believe with a similar set-up GR70+ shouldn't be a problem at all.
Legendary gem combination also needs to be reconsidered.
Oh, I tried the new ring of emptiness in cube (It says You deal 100% more damage to enemies that are afflicted by Haunt and Locust swarm), but it seems fetishes didn't hit harder. Seems a CoE in cube would be better in that case.
Also, I had a mix of damage rolls, so nothing buffed fully - like Haunt damage on shoulder, fetish damage on chest in one case Locust swarm or Wall of death damage on Mojo and so on). Dog Mojo also gives nice damage boost with sacrifice. Also note I'm just a tad over P900, so somebody with P1500 would probably do more damage with Zuni anyway.
Sadly I spent almost all bounty mats I had to get my T&T ancient, don't have much playroom to test out other things if they don't drop. However, there was no queue late EU time yesterday (when usually US people are testing a ton on PTR), so if it stays like that I might test a lot more.
I was trying to get a melee build to work, but with my gear and paragons (900+ on PTR) I don't see it viable for 75+.
Mixing in Fire build with Cindercoat and a lot of other combinations, no luck. 65 is easy, 70+ I get into to big survival issues, if I redo passives to go more defensive then I lack damage. Tried both with garg and dog, same thing applies.
So, I guess it will have to be The Carn LoN build anyway... Seems even easier to gear up for that.
