The biggest thing you need to take into account about EF is the fear on hit thing. Not a lot of people like that, and some monks have said they were "never happier" than when they got rid of that. Also if you're using the Speed Palm (or variation there of) build then the fear can really hurt that.
And yeah... the fear sucks! I figured it long time ago when I used to hold an EF. Right now I dont know if is a good idea specially because I am using EPalm
With the right setup/party an EF is still a great weapon even with the fear.
EX: You have someone (companion or party member) who is able to freeze/bind mobs in place then they can't run away. Can't run, fear doesn't matter. Fear doesn't matter, EF having that fear becomes mute.

Guys I would like to know if I can choose between an echoing fury and lets say a rare weapon, which one should I pick?
I mean, supposing those 2 weapons have the "same" status.
Example:
EF
1200 dps
150 dex
2.5% LS
1 Socket
vs
Rare Sword (1.40 attacks per second)
1200 dps
150 dex
2.5% LS
1 Socket
My monk is using 2 weapons. What weapons stats should I aim to? I already have a ok WKL and I am looking for a 1100+ dps weapon.
Is ok to pick maces (1.20 attacks per second) ???
Any other detail about this I would really appreciate.
Thanks!
If that so (i agree the fear sucks!) I rather save my gold to get a weapon with %LS, %CD and Socket.
Right now they costing around 1bi Thats bad!
I guess prices gonna go higher once blizz change the RMAH gold to 10m/0.25 cents right?
Thanks for reply Cynor!
