Okay, looking for what kind of stats would be required to get a monk mp10 ready. The bare minimum. I was never good at monk but shit man, it looks funner than hell and want to get into it. (cyclone spec i mean).
I could be wrong but here's what i was thinking to get the bare minimum stats:
650 AR
5kish armor
5.5 LS
40k hp
40% crit
150k unbuffed dps
Price? I honestly have nfc but i think its definitely doable for under 300m. Like i said though i haven't played my monk in awhile (other than TR), so i could use some suggestions.
^don't do ubers solo. At this point in the game it's just a waste of machines/time. There's almost always someone around in the "looking for group" chat that will play with you so that you only have to use 1 machine per run. Plus more people allows you to rez/get rez'd if things go bad, and typically the 70% hp bonus the elites get is more than offset by the dps the other people are doing.
To OP, you should be able to get WAY more RA than that with a monk. the 800-1200 range isn't inconceivable. Personally I would want as much crit chance as possible because the tornadoes you spawn are doing most of your damage and obviously 10% more crit is a lot more damage AND tornadoes.
Wish mempos would come down in price already. Seen the same ones for wizards (im sure dex is the same) at 1b+ for close to a month now. Same repost every day.
I use 5800 armor, 620 all res, 1200 LoH, 5.4% LS, 25% block chance, and the defensive passives mentioned above (resolve, StI, OWE) to solo mp10 ubers. Main damage comes from cyclones with a high damage gear snapshot. 1.4m dps with 5.4 LS and the above mentioned LoH means I never die even when taking damage from both bosses.
I recommend using a shield for mp10 ubers. you can get over 50% crit and high defensive with it.
I also recommend tempest rush for all builds so you can easily position yourself correctly. The best defensive ability in the game is good positioning to avoid extra damage. I don't use breath of heaven.
When you activate some abilities (like sweeping wind) the ability takes a look at your CURRENT damage and bases the ability damage on that. If you have temporary buffs, it will keep the additional damage even after the buff goes away.
"Think of the sweeping wind as a combined total of all of your damage modifiers. Basically, anything that affects weapons damage. (Dont confuse weapons damage with stat sheet DPS, they are not the same thing) Things like:
Dexterity
Average Damage
Crit Hit Damage
+% bonus to Sweeping Wind damage
+% bonus to elites
+% Bonus to elemental damage
+% damage to XXX based skills
Now add to this non-weapons damage modifers such a LS and Life after Kill that are seen on Skorns.
Perhaps the "most beneficial" of these modifiers is Critical Hit Damage. The trick is to stack CD as high as you can, say 500%, then gear swap into gear that has huge ammounts of Crit Chance and AS. This is because Crit Chance and AS are not included in the initial SW capture.
That's why you see videos of guys gear swapping to fast, low DPS weapons. Since the wind is already going , the weapons damage value no longer matters. Bascially they are manipulating the mechanic into thinking that they are wearing a single gear set with 500% CD and 61% crit chance. Throw a high level of AS into the mix and you could possibly be doing over 2 - 2.5M tDPS. It's insane."
i actually wouldn't recommend a shield unless you REALLY need the crit chance. use a really fast weapon an echoing fury for the +0.25 attacks. The extra attacks you get off should make a higher difference in your total crits at some point.
Assuming you have roughly 2.25 A/S before weapons and a 45% crit chance, you're crit'ing 10 times in 10 seconds.
At 2.25 A/S with 55% cc, you crit 12 times in 10 seconds.
with the off hand at +.25 and the AS bonus for dual wielding, you should be above 3 A/S with 45% cc, you crit 13.5 times in 10 seconds.

I wont lie, that last 10k health and some LoH is gonna be rough. I was concerned 40k seemed to be a little high to shoot as it was haha.
