I've been browsing this forum for some time, but I've come to a point where I now need tailored advice.
I finally had some luck recently and made a sale for 22 million gold. I now have approximately 24 million to spend, and due to the relatively small amount of time I have to invest in D3, I want to make sure I get as much bang for my buck as possible.
I'm well aware that my gear isn't so great, so I feel like I should be able to make some substantial improvements even with my relatively modest budget.
I was considering going for 2-piece Inna's (head and legs) since my head is very lackluster (no crit or dex) and the move speed on the legs would make my runs more efficient (especially in cases where I can afford to run Fleet Footed). Would this be a viable option given my budget? Or would I need a bigger budget to get rolls that are actually worth the gold?
Also, with gem prices so low, would it be worth it for a perfect (or radiant) star emerald for my main hand? It seems like an additional 30-40% crit damage would give me a healthy increase in DPS, but I'm not sure if its worth the price at my current level of gear.
Lastly, is the general consensus that prices will continue to fall given the influx of gear into the economy? Or is the increased amount of gold enough to offset the increased drops?
If I where you I'd look at two different options with two very different end goals in mind.
1 if your looking to end up with high end gear across the board you'll want to grab 1 maybe 2 set/legendary items (the 2piece innas could be a good upgrade for you). This might not be the best short term improvement, but will net a better long term result.
2. Your weapons are good, but I would upgrade all you dps slots (head neck gloves ring) Spend 4 mill on each should offer some good choices. Then grab a 100% crit gem ( since they are stupid cheap right now at under 5 mill) . If you shop carefully you should be able to do all that and end with 50k + dps. That would give you a short term boost, but if you end goal is 100k dps then you'll wont want any of the gear you you just bought.
I hope that helps. There are some really good gearing guides for monks on these forums you could check out if you have questions on how to shop.

Get a decent weapon to farm MP2/3 to earn more gold. I get two set of keys at MP2/3 in 2 nights, so it isn't bad at all.
As for the upgrade of the other pieces, there are two options:
1) Evenly distribute your budget to all pieces in the upgrade, but you risk for a further upgrade as you move up MP levels.
2) Upgrade the most critical piece, one at a time, this would allow you to get a better item which will last longer or an end game item.
Hope these help.
I think I'll go the 2-piece Inna's route and get a radiant star emerald with the remainder (hopefully that will be enough).
Can anyone estimate what I should expect to pay for the head and legs at current market prices?
