My thought was to dash into (the middle) groups use BF and LD
build up spirit and finish off monsters with sweeping wind.
What do you guys think?
Its an interesting build, do you intend to use healing aura between fights? To give you extra spirit as well as heal from the fight before? With this build you may find a problem with longer fights. Getting the vortex going may be an interesting issue however you could be ok. Once the games out you should have a better idea, i think we all will.
Well if the fight does last longer I intend on using LD as much as possible.
Also for longer fights that means my vortex from sweeping wind will be even
more helpful.
That doesn't mean I can't have two part of my skill set..
For all the people who think it is dumb to have more than one mantra
is really thinking inside the box.. not every situation will be the same and
having more options helps. =D
The problem with 2 or more Mantras is that your skillslots are so limited... so taking a 2nd Mantra for situations that COULD happen IMHO is a wasted Skillslot.
And I took that into consideration but I still think I would have
an efficient amount of damage to compensate for the extra mantra.
Sweeping Winds is only good if you can keep it at max stacks. to get the winds going after the buffs faded is where you will be weak. Its damage may be high but if you cant keep the winds going your in a real bind. The problem with 2 mantras is that your skill slots could be used better. since you cant have 2 mantras up at one time you would be better off to keep the effect of one and use a different skill for the other. for example you could keep mantra of retribution and replace mantra of healing with breath of heaven. this way you have a heal you can use wale keeping the reflect with retribution.
i find using 2 mantras specially the one the OP picked is viable, so you can use it between fights for the spirit and health regeneration or during a fight for the free 400HP for 3 secs every 15 secs then back to retribution.

I also did think about putting in Crippling wave over sweeping.
And I see the argument about using the heal or something but
that uses spirit which I would like to keep and the spirit generation is nice

Thank you for thinking outside the box with me haha =]
I am going to try a 4 mantra monk build. The other two skills will be spirit generators. I would be swapping out the mantras either in battle or between battles. It will all depend on the situation and what runes I have for the skill at the time. Too bad there is a cool down for the skill. I would prefer if it was like before but without the extra benefit for the few seconds.
The build might be slow in some situations but I do not mind if it is slow since I do not like to rush anyway and I will be playing HC.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
You don't want to waste a Golden rune for Mantra of Healing. The Indigo rune is sooo freakin OP... for that spell. A 10s shield for your whole ally (25% of their health) with a 15s cooldown. Holy mother. With the low cooldown of mantras, switching between offensive and defensive makes plenty of sense. I don't see a reason to run more then one generator really. That leaves you with 3 spenders, which should be fine: one for damage, the others for support.
Mantra of Conviction can be used with Alabaster aswell... should help in Inferno. Can't decide yet which one is better.

Meh in situations you are low on health you can always use a pot and/or fight conservatively. Health pots on the Beta are not even remotely rare, and the vendors sell them as well.
Edit: Ohh and you have a heal!

I use the big hitters to try and kill as much as I can right from the start
and also have damage reducers to keep me safe and be able to pick off
the rest. Some spirit regeneration to keep me going and ONE mantra =]
what do you think of this? I'm going for something unique.
Maybe with Exploding Palm instead of Crippling Wave (because Exploding Palm is "cooler" :P). I also thought about Serenity instead of Breath of Heavens but I guess Breath of Heavens with Obsidian is better?
I like Exploding palms. I cant seem to think of a build I would like without it. is it wrong that I would not mind having 1 mantra , 3 generators ?
For exploding palm there needs to be cluster packs and dying. Right now it is impossible to say how effective it will be in Inferno. That's the main reason I chose Crippling Wave over it. A 50% debuff on enemy damage output should help no matter what.
The monk has so many support abilities so I've decided to focus on that rather then the highest possible damage.

I see the bleed DoT from it is a huge part of it. With the DoT ticking and the monk still on the enemy Damage will be done to many enemies or to a focussed target.
The question is how fast will you progress in Inferno. I believe the enemies will be tough and you'll not just one-shot the whole screen. So we have to wait and see. If it takes 1 minute to kill an enemy because your team has to run all the time as they take too much damage. In that case Crippling Wave would be way more effective I assume, as it constantly halfes the enemies damages.

Exploding palm does a lot of single target dmg via the bleed as well.
100% dmg + 65% wpn dmg/sec for 3 secs.
I am actually considering using both in a monk build.
Crippling wave + Exploding Palm
Essentially an aoe/debuff and a single target dmg.
