so if anyone else noticed there is a monk passive that saves you from dying and gives you 35% max health and spirit. and it can do this every 1.5 minutes... which is insanely short. basically anyone who plays hardcore will for SURE get this passive in order to save their skin especially if they are 60 with awesome gear they dont want to lose. IMO this completely ruins hardcore for the monk, you feel as though you really have to or should get this passive because you KNOW you will eventually die and this could prevent your character and gear from being destroyed. yes i know you dont HAVE to get the passive, but come on. if you spend months and months on a character and have this passive to save your life every 1.5 minutes... i think its the principal, we SHOULDN'T have the option to save ourselves from dying on hardcore. is my point.
Also, with the change away from health pot spamming, it seems probable that death is not intended to come as a surprise once when you run into a monster you're not supposed to, or as a slow, drawn out affair that only happens every 5 minutes, but something that can easily happen fast (especially if you only respawn with 35%).
Personally, I'm going to wait until we can actually play as lvl 60 characters before I decide what skills are game breakingly overpowered.
I think it will be just fine. Like others have said when you're going down, you're going down. In those situations two lives are not going to save you. It's more or less just to keep down on the OOPS I got one shot, that used to happen in D2.

I think that the lag spikes inherent of Blizz games is going to stop me trying hardcore unless they get decent (and actual) oceania servers.
However I don't think this is too gamebreaking compared to everything else. It might save you if you accidentally face some mobs you should not have just blundered in to, but I don't think that that will happen 99% of times in Hardcore.
And if it saves you from that crazy accidental death every so often, I'm all for it. Especially because I don't think it will save you as often as you seem to think.

Yep, even if it bumps you back up to what, 35% health, if you are that into a dire situation, I'm pretty sure you'll get pounded within seconds even after you are saved. So I very much doubt it is 'game breaking'.

Thanks for the welcome. I actually used to have an account here from well over a year ago (maybe two?) but I seemed unable to recover it today when I went to post.
Anyways, I think it will be quite convient to have. I think the most common application will be you're in a tough spot and you're running out of spirit. You get overwhelmed because you can't keep up and you get respawned with 35%. Then you immediately dash out of the situation and get out of there to recover and reassess the field.
At least that's the way I envision it. Basically a "oops you died, NOW GTFO!!!" kind of thing.
