Concept:
This build is based on the Beacon of Ytar Passive. This abilitiy allows your Wave of Light, Lashing Tail Kick, Seven Sided Strike to have no cd but increase spirit spent... This pushes WoL (Wave of Light) and SSS(Seven Sided Strike) to 100 Spirit each (craziness)... but when used with the Transcendance passive were landing a 4200 hp heal every time we use these two abilities. Naturally to complement were going to go with Exalted soul for the extra spirit so you can hit twice with both finishers.
This looks good on paper... in game it might not be so hot. I am trying to go for a build where you can stay in the fight while pumping out consistent AoE DPS.
Passives:
Transcendance - Every point of Spirit spent heals you for 42.6 Life. Must have if were working with Beacon of Ytar.
Exalted Soul - Since we are pumping Spirit Heavy finishers were going to want this for the 100 extra spirit. (+ to Offensive and defensive abilities is always a plus!)
Beacon of Ytar - Increasing the spirit cost is only gonna land HUGE heals on us. Therefore negating the drawback (hopefully). Also allows our Heavy Hitter, AoE, and Stun capabilities to be spammable to an extent.
Skills:
Wave of Light when runed deals an additional 800% weapon damage on hit. This is going to be your (semi)single target nuke.
SSS (Seven Sided Strike) - when runed with alabaster gives you AoE Capability .
Lashing Tail Kick - When runed, this uses an eigth of your spirit (heals for 2100), stuns for 3 seconds, decent damage. With no CD you can spam this while Sweeping Wind is up to pump out consistent DPS while not getting hit.
Serenity - This is going to be our "OH S*!$!" Spell. So I put a heal around it. This one is subject to change due to the fact im not sure how much spirit our first 2 abilities will be generating. (And were proccing heals all the time anyway). If anything can replace with Mystic ally for the 10% spirit proc and more aoe damage to coincide with sweeping wind.
Sweeping Wind - Consistent Spirit Generator... You are going to want this up all the time. AoE damage to tick while stunning
Exploding Palm - This ability when runed with a Golden Runestone is B-E-A-U-TIFUL. Group of 10 mobs? Bam proc for 70 Spirit with one combo. (Look cool doing it too)
someone told me that spirit cap increases with level and a lv 13 monk has a cap of 200. I don't think exalted soul passive is worth it because becaon of ytar does increase spirit cost (50% increase so, sss/wol will be 75 spirit instead), but if spirit cap scales as you level an additional 100 will just be a drop in the bucket (unless its a typo and it should 100% instead)
and i noticed you didn't pick a mantra and i think you really need one as they all provide pretty good buffs, especially mantra of evasion or conviction. So i think you should trade off lashing tail kick for a mantra, because it won't be worth its spirit cost if there aren't any cooldowns. I think a good way would be to consider it as damage/per spirit.
Let say you do 100 damage
Lashing tail kick (with lv 7 rune) 312/37.5 = 8.32 damage/spirit
sss (no rune): 910/75 = 12.3 damage/spirit
therefore I think without cooldowns sss is better bang for your spirit than tail kick in the end late game for targeting a single strong monster/boss.
TLDR; don't think exalted soul is not worthit, any other passive will be better. you should use sss and trade tail kick for a mantra.
