the monk armor should be as epic as barbarian armor in fact all classes should be able to look as intimidating and armored to the core. every class should have the epic quality in armor class.

You can't have a heavy armor like the Barbarian can. The Barbarian is a pretty simple brute force kinda character. The monk is way faster. Heavy armor can be handled by the Barbarian's physique, and would have little affect on his speed, whereas heavy armor on the Monk would slow him down. Light armor suits the monk, while heavy armor suits the Barbarian.
Heavy armor on a class like the Monk is pretty out of the question. The class is lightweight, fast, and utilizes his hands as weapons. Why would he choose to put alot of reliance on heavy armor? It'd only slow him down and move away from what he believes.
They could give him some sort of metal gloves? If anyone have played Fallout they know what I mean

Some sort of gauntlet you mean? Thats what I had in mind, but for higher levels I'd like it to take up much of the arm as well. That would look so monstrously epic, just seeing him club things to death.

how about they leave the monk class with the ability to choose. whether or not he wants heavy armor or light armor, and have benefits for either path they choose. like bonus to armor or resistances. Also they monk needs some diversity in the weapons to choose from. i don't want to be stuck with a staff throughout my whole game....:confused:
or they could do a intense route where the monk doesn't even use wepons and only uses his fists. that would mean no weapons or shields in his slots but get intense crits and bonuses damage knocking back the monster with a wave of force impacted all creatures around it.

I actually really like the pic of the monk on the monk page over at the site. It has those metal gauntlets which make it look pretty cool, hopefully the monk can actually use these as some sort of weapon.

What epic barbarian armor?
The in-game armors I saw are nothing worth mentioning.
