Shenlong overall damage increase is multiplicative so it is more something like:
394 * 4 = 1576% damage increase to generator
(394 *2) *2 = 1576%
We should see approximately the same numbers from generators. But damage from generators build also often came from uliana's 2p which no longers have 300% damage buff but only 100%.
This is considering your only source of additive generator increased damage comes from shenlongs. Otherwise, it is a nerf :
With Depth diggers (which I believe is additive) => (100% + 394%)*4 =1976% VS (100% +394%*2)*2 = 1776%
These differences even goes higher as you factor the numbers by other multiplicative sources (BoT, 2p Raiment).
I would have liked someting like 2% bonus to generators and 150% multiplicative to all damage. This way it would have brought DS set up more in range while still improving a bit the generator set up.
So I'd say same single target, less aoe damage which is kind of unfortunate. I'm waiting to see if they find the right balance for uliana's set to make my mind up.
Bane of the stricken could be interesting with good aoe potential, not sure about its status with this patch though since stacking increased damage was nerfed by 5. But they did not mention any cap so it will probably go crazy for us in high Grifts with decent attack speed.
i put the new numbers into a quick spreadsheet and the results are not that bad imo, the more spirit you have the closer you get to pre nerf dps (up to 90,5% at 425 spirit with buff), but at the same time the non buff damage is increased by up to 181% at 425 spirit
min values are at 0 spirit, max values are at max spirit, obviously these need to be treaded as dps range, from min to max depending on the spirit you have, and yes i know that you cant not have the buff while at max spirit, this is purely number crunching, and this is all calculated with 1 mil dps as base obviously.
overall for generators it probably will give smoother gameplay from the non buffed to the buffed state instead of doing nearly nothing without and killing stuff too fast with, and it will nerf the potential skill comboes with the fist weapons a lot (dash build, uliana 2 pc etc)
2 pieces: The damage of your Spirit Generators is increased by 2% (up from 1%) for each point of Spirit you have.
When reaching maximum Spirit, all damage is increased by 100% (down from 300%), but you no longer passively regenerate Spirit and 65 Spirit is drained every second until you run out of Spirit.

OT: QQ, I was having so much fun with the set on PTR ;< Not only was the fun 2/6 + 2/6 + 2/2 setup bonked, but we also lost the option to reroll fists until we got proper ancients. Oh well, was fun while it lasted, at least it'll still be a viable way to play.. Once you get pretty much all the items :<
Any1 actually tested shenlongs after PTR patch? Because i have and the dmg is much lower than i had expected (based on math). Now with full buff i was doing ~350m crits, before patch with similar build it was ~1.2b.
Maybe it's bugged some way. Maybe i was doing something wrong, can some1 test it and confirm or deny that dmg drop is so high?
I was using fire crippling wave, i'm sure i have depth digger, simplicity strenght gem, 2pc rainment, was using f+r and i had ~2.7m ele dmg.
That seems... Strange. Make sure you still have all your Cube stuff active, then pray that the proc nerf went ahead but the passive buff didn't, because a drop of ~75% seems WAY too severe, considering the changes that were implemented.
