For bonuses, I meant that if you don't need double ally, then you can cube depth diggers instead of crudest boots and go innas pants bringing you the fourth piece and making room for cubing convention of elements for example.
In the end, you loose 20% additive damage (which is about 10% of your additive damage) and gain ~50% elemental damage. That should perform way better.
And we are talking about making rifts way over 50. I don't have amazing gear either but managed a 55 with generator build and 61 with bigfluf fire dash build adapted to PTR. So there's still a big gap
It is weird though that you'd be stuck to GR32 with fire dash on SC, even with low damage
I'm hardcore HARDcore player, so I also need to keep high toughness to live at least long enough to react to whatever is trying to kill me.
Back to my embarrassment of the year.... I have Depth Diggers as a real item equipped... Dunno about cube'ing them and going 4pc Inna without allies... Need to try it out and see, how it will go.
If I were to replace RoRG with something, it'd either be an immunity amulet (real item is hellfire with NDE), Ess (not to run after every single mob) or maybe even Wyrdward for crowd-control.
Got you the first time...
"Back to my embarrassment of the year.... I have Depth Diggers as a real item equipped... Dunno about cube'ing them and going 4pc Inna without allies... Need to try it out and see, how it will go." => this is what I was suggesting you to do. My point was, if you use crudest boots for fire ally, it's a minor dps boost.
+ 32 for fire dash, even in hardcore, seems really, really low.
Will try that after my attempt to 2p uliana, 4p SWK, 2p raiment, shenlong, f&R (OMG sets everywhere!)
I was struggling with toughness on a slightly different version and maybe huge life pool is the way to go..
Do you know why he was using band of the rue chambers? Since his damage does not come from spenders, as long as you're keeping full spirit, there's not much need for more spirit..
he tried CoE first of all, but it only works 20% time.
shenlongs eat you spirit very fast, you need to recover it faster to refresh +300% dmg bonus, that why band of the rue
he also did +50 max spirit from paragons, +13+15 from each shenlong and inna's spirit stone
and tester Exalted soul for more 50spirit = 50% dmg from first bonus of the shenlongs and additional 1 second for second bonus
I tried CoE yesterday and was very low on overall damage, so maybe band of the rue is worth more than what I thought.
Do you know if the shenlong bonus to generators damage is additive to % damage bonus to skill? Or is it a new multiplicative member?
I also tried a cdr oriented generator build that I borrowed from somebody that managed a 63. It worked pretty well and allowed for perma epiphany(BoH and innersanctuary) with max rolls everywhere but necklace. It felt nice but lacked a bit of damage too.
Could be very viable in HC though: good toughness and CC resist, great potential recovery with LoH and simplicity's strengh, GR55 damage output.
I managed to clear a GR54 with a Generator Build with Shen'Longs, 2pcs Raiment, 2pcs Uliana's, 2pcs Inna's, Double Ally, Bastion of Will and Cubed FD, Depth Diggers and CoE. Repeated a 54 a few times with less problems each time and fater clear time. I did it with 100Fists-Holy as main dmg skill, Cyclone Strike-Frost to procc 2nd half of F/R, Mantra of Salvation-Agility, Dashing Strike-Quicksilver, Earth Ally (on later runs Fire) and Epiphany-Desert Shroud.
Gems were Simplicity's Strength, Bane of the Trapped and Mirinae. Still working on this build to get to higher GRs. Advices are welcome
tested the generator build on ptr, tried different primary skills, ended up with two lightning potentials, FoT thunderclap for pushing GR and DR scattered blows for farming with uliana 2pc (great for palming the whole screen due to aoe on 3rd hit)
pushed GRs till 54 on hardcore, no problems with toughness using unity, damage was the limiting factor for me, so ill probably switch up my gems on live, bane of the stricken looks to be potentially awesome with this fast attacking build
i used to love this kind of build back in the day and this makes me want to roll monk as main in s4
band of rue chambers really shines with this build, it helps pick up the buff faster, it helps keep the buff up or top the spirit up so overall you benefit a lot more from the set bonuses, not a big fan of F&R so ill probably stick to unity, rue chambers and rorg/soj/coe
