Let me start by stating a few facts I assume to be true.
If I cast a fire spell with 20% fire damage I will do 20% more damage. If I cast a Sentry with Spitfire Turret I will do 20% more damage with the turret and the rockets.
To clarify, unless I state otherwise, if I'm casting a non-sentry skill, I am referring to the sentry casting the skill.
My questions: 1) What element type are the rockets cast from Ballistics? 2) I have 20% fire damage and M6 set. I cast Sentry+Spitfire Turret. Does Multishot+Arsenal do 40% or 20% more damage? 3) I have 20% fire damage and M6 set. I cast Sentry+Spitfire Turret. Does Cluster Arrow+Maelstrom do 20% more damage? 4) I have 20% cold damage and M6 set. I cast Sentry+Spitfire Turret. Does Cluster Arrow+Maelstrom do 20% more damage? 5) I have Bane of the Trapped at level 0. Does Sentry+Polar station do 15% more damage? 6) I have Bane of the Trapped at level 0 and M6 set. I cast Sentry+Spitfire Turret. Does Cluster Arrow+Maelstrom do 15% more damage? 7) Same question as 5, but with Cull the Weak. 8) Same question as 6, but with Cull the Weak. 9) I have Enforcer at level 0 and M6. I cast Sentry+Spitfire Turret. Does Cluster Arrow deal 15% more damage or 30% more damage? 10) I have Enforcer at level 0 and M6. I cast Sentry+Spitfire Turret. Does Cluster Arrow+Maelstrom rockets do more damage?
Thanks in advance to anyone out there who has the answers I'm looking for.
Don't quote me on this, but as far as I know, those rockets are of the same element as the skill spawning them, unless it is stated otherwise (e.g. CA/Maelstrom is cold).
20% as sentry by itself does not affect the damage of your skills. Unless we're talking about skills fired by sentry with your gear having +%sentry on it or your jewelery having enforcer gem socketed.
Same as above - sentry by itself doesn't affect the damage of your skills.
Same as above.
To the enemies within 'chilled' range.
First shot's original explosion does not do any extra damage. Its rockets and the follow-up attacks will do more damage if the enemy is still chilled.
Only for the enemies affected by chill/freeze.
Same as above: the first shot's explosion doesn't do any extra damage (target is not chilled/frozen). After that, you get +20% damage as long as the enemy is still under the effects of chill/freeze.
15%. From any kind of a sentry.
Same as above.
EDIT: This is true with live version of M6. The PTR version gives 100% damage per sentry to skills (some of them) you yourself fire. As in with 3 sentries your CA will do 2200% (550% x 4) damage, while CAs fired by sentries (when you yourself fire CA) with do only 550% each.
Usually, if it is not clearly stated which element the skill is, assume physical.
& 3. & 4. M6 Sentry skill damages are [base skill damage] * [1 + %skill damage] * [1 + %sentry damage] * [1+ %element damage] * ... e.g. with no modifiers on the gear, you sentries will do 100% of your damage for the same skill. With 15% sentry damage - 115% of you damage for the same skill. Add enforcer (rank 0) and you get 122.5% of your damage...
My question is not regarding damage, but instead regarding elemental types for each skill in relation to the sentry elemental type. To simply summarize: 2) Does a fire sentry firing a fire skill mean the skill does twice as much %fire damage? 3) Does a fire sentry firing a cold skill mean the skill gets a bonus from %fire damage? 4) Does a fire sentry firing a cold skill mean the skill gets a bonus from %cold damage?
Obviously there are the inverse, E.G. a cold sentry firing a fire skill, but there's no point to the repetition.
More complicated than that;
If the sentry rune is "Spitfire", sentries will shoot their own rockets as fire and the mirrors of your "Maelstrom/CA's" as cold. You can simply observe this by dropping turrets and while not firing CA yourself, you should see red rocket streaks, and then while firing CA/Maelstrom, you should see mostly blue <.<

For question 1, the skill doesn't specify which element type it is, which leads to my confusion.
For questions 2-4, I am referring to skills cast by the sentry. Not by myself.
My question is not regarding damage, but instead regarding elemental types for each skill in relation to the sentry elemental type. To simply summarize:

3. No.
4. Yes.
Fantastic. Thank you for the help.
