Im at 4.18 (50 paragon ias) if i equip a 1h with 7% attk speed if you wanna look at the gear needed (2.88 with the 2h, its nice to be able to swap and keep both max breakpoints)..
You need 7% on all slots (including tnts, makes it very hard since you need 48+ on them too) unless you wear an ias neck or the gem. 48% tnts are the bare req (like riff said) as well as 7% ias on bracers to reach the final break pt.
Keep in mind at 35+ shooting yourself requires smoke screen. Its hard to use the gem unless your going light ball.

You don't need 7% on every slot. It helps and its very bad if you don't have it. It's funny to me how often people come in and say "You must have X on Y pieces of gear" and are just flat wrong. Should take a hint from RiffSphere and do the math and then tell people what IAS from items/paragon is required.
Warmonger, although correct, there is no need to be rude.
With 48% on tasker, you need 63.8% attackspeed. As you can have 20 on quiver and 10 from paragon, you need another 34% (as it never comes with .8%) on other items, meaning gloves+belt+bracers+both rings need 7%, and you can miss 1% somewhere. With both tasker and a good bombardier being hard to get, it is worth telling people you do need max as everywhere. Things change when you go with 49% or 50% tasker, or are willing to put attackspeed on amu/use the gem.
As for the question, yes, it is sad. On the other hand, it also is sad that there is no information anywhere in the game that something like a breakpoint exists, what it does, what the numbers are, and how far you are away from it. I'm happy that people asking this question at least KNOW about breakpoints, as I do help out people in general chat as well, and they often have no clue why they are not dealing damage with over 2m sheet dps.
With the game getting more and more casual every patch, it's sad that game changing information like this is nowhere to be found (in an official way).
To go even further: do you KNOW the breakpoints are correct, or do you BELIEVE they are correct? I only have a list with 7 numbers that I use in calculations, I might be so far off from the real breakpoints (just as everyone else, if the guy posting it was just trolling).
Riffsphere, just to be pedantic, but you could theoretically put 49 points in paragon instead of 50, and end up with XX.8% :P. Not that it matters a lot, but, y'know, just because you can't get fractal points from gear doesn't mean you can't *at all* :D.
Draco_Draco, you are completely right about that. I did take the max as I wanted to make the point how high the rolls on gear should be, but you would indeed go with 7% on weapon, 20% on quiver, 7% on the 5 other slots, minus 1% on 1 of the non-weapon slots, and put 49 paragon points if you have 48% on tasker. Thanks for pointing this out
Thanx alot guys i completely forgot the paragon Ias.. Everyones info was very useful but Warmonger i think you need to get laid or calm your t*ts. You didnt have to some to the forum. We ask for help not your complaining.
The spreadsheet and breakpoints are quite helpful. Going by the spreadsheet I'm at 3.13% with 50% Taskers, and that's after I rolled some IAS off and added some toughness. ( almost 400K health, woohoo!) I don't see me going for that 7th break point, I'd rather shore up some other inadequacies or maybe more damage instead. I'll be looking for more CHD down the road.
Have no third gem slot open so I'm not using the swiftness gem and not really sure I want to, unless I can open up alot of damage elsewhere.
No points spent in IAS parawise.
Diablo progress seems finicky atm, maybe it's the maintenance messing with it?
Using a Natalya's xbow/ring with the RoRG 3 piece bonus and Mara/Taskers (50%). I do have a Calamity but the damage is only like 2250ish going by memory, and my Natalya's is higher, not sure if the Marked for Death would make that up or not.
4.15 is more damage even with a bad calamity or even nats slayer. You would have to try it out with the gear you have on hand to know if its for you or not.
I am not sure which I enjoy more, 4.15 or 2.84 but its nice to be able to pick from either.

To calculate: 1.6 (base attack of weapon)*1.07(as on weapon)*1.48(tasker)=2.53376
4.15/2,53376=1.6378, so 63.8% needed from items and paragon, going down if you hit more on tasker.
