Just a few questions about weapons.. If a bow doesn't have a socket should that straight up be the number one priority to reroll? Also, I keep hearing about damage being bugged.. Some people say it's elemental DMG so you have to have black damage? Others say its the %dmg on weapons? Which is it? Thanks for any help in advance =).
The reason to re-roll a socket is because currently CHD contribute to a lot of the damage, and having 130% CHD from 1 socket is huge. Ideally you would want (high weapon dmg, %dmg/speed, main stat, socket) from any weapon.
Secondly, the % damage on weapon is currently bugged, it will only work if the weapon damage is black, but Blizzard has previously stated that they are working on a fix and it 'ought' to be retrospective. Hope this helps.
Usually quiver setup favors the use of a bow/xbow - a single 1h xbow ideally does the same total damage of other weapons (more small attacks compared to less bigger ones), but in the end it has also faster hatred consumption and less burst damage, both extremely valuable things.
Dual wielding, you keep the AS on check (15% compared to a 20% from quiver) and you get an additional socket that compensates for the fact 1h xbows hit for less.
This said, i played a lot with the 1h/quiver setup because i wasn't lucky enough to find other decent 2h weapons, and while my damage may have been less than optimal, the faster attacks let me play an easier hit and run strategy to avoid bad things from elites, dying less thus farming more efficiently.
It's about numbers, but also about playstyle.
