Lacking elemental damage can hit you quithe harshly - it's a flat dmg increase and even if the tooltip number is low, it's just because it's not counted into it.
For the rest, a look at his gear would be more than helpful; it's not recommended to run with 1h xbow/quiver setup since it's less optimal, but it all depends on what he has his hands on - a good rolled 1h is better than a bad rolled 2h. Also until he doesn't tackle higher torment his setup can vary a lot.
but i focus mainly on physical for my mara pet build and deciding to reroll the 19%lightning one to physical, but before i do that i'm wondering how much does that 71-135 compare to stats like CHD and Critical hit.
or should i wait out for a physical SoJ before i do anything?
I could use some help with my Barb, just got D3 a couple of months ago..very new to this game and game type. I played most of my hours when they started the leg buff and ended up with a couple of set pieces for EQ but my dmg as of now seems very low. T3 is a little hard to survive on so I stick with T2 for now but it feels like I should be able to do T4 already...SUGGESTIONS for set pieces/pargon/rerolls and so on.. here is my barb.
yes a calamity does help, but if ur not getting the 4 pcs bonus from mara then i would suggest not using the RRoG, a good unity would be a big boost
craft yourself a fire Reaper Wrap, aim for a %fire amulet
if u do have mara helm, i'd use it for instead of ur fire Andy, the 4pcs bonus from mara is really nice where u can boost yourself overall, u will lose a bit dps but it's all worth it.
if u can still enchant ur pants i'll get rid of the bola damage for something else >.>
just a single question: If I use the marauder set which elemental type counts for the spenders they cast. The element of the spender or the element of the sentry ?
ur sentry damage is physical unless u choose the fire one, but the hatred spender that it shoots depends what you choose it to be
so fire sentry + physical CA = sentry shoots physical CA
since u don't have the sentry quiver, replace steady aim for custom engineer
aim for a mara shoulder then go back and hunt for T&T
physical amulet, physical Reaper Wrap, Physical soj/Unity.
u can do on ur following gear
shoulders => pick a stat, choose sentry damage
quiver => pick a stat (hatred regen or vit) to sentry damage (this is very costly)
chest => if u can still enchant it, choose a state => sentry damage
helm => that is debatable, i would make the crit back to multishot damage.
the best quiver should have
dex, high crit, high ias, reduce cooldown, sentry damage.
sentry quiver is not necessary, it just opens up a passive (so u don't need custom engineering.
My post might be a little unique, but I've built and played all of D3 without researching online other builds, equipment to go, inflated sheet DPS, and what a high end Demon Hunter Should go. Think of me as a new player, whose never read one reference guide on how things should be done to maximize your characters. My play style is basically repeating adventure modes over and over, hoping to get new green sets to improve my guy, or finding just basic upgrades. The only thing I've really done is start to farm the keys from the keywarden, once I figured out where they were spawning. Right now I'm bouncing between T2 (too easy) and T3 (slightly too hard)
In Stash, I have a Natayla's Embrace, Unity Ring, and Archfiend Arrows.
-------------------------------
So, Honestly, I have no idea if I'm going in an OK direction, or if major modification needs to be made to my character. Should I change up any of my skills? I tried to find +fire equipment to augment Cluster Arrow and Entangling Arrow, but I've gotten kinda stuck. I'm hoping I could get some guidelines on what I should be working on. I'd appreciate any advice
EDIT: Completely remaking this post. Last one is stupidly out of sorts to what I have. Here is the Current SShttp://i.imgur.com/PkDqn0V.png that shows the dmg, and other things. I will add the details of the items in a couple mins as I get it all written out on here. Will add the edit soon. My question is Could I do a t2 run with others in t2 or do I still need to farm other Legs/set parts to go t2. I have a amulet waiting for enchantment (need a few Golden Gems) and am working on getting better Gems.
I'm at a point, where hardly any upgrade shows up and I feel like I'm bound to sink my stuff on gem upgrades and enchants.
Curent build started by trying to copycat a fire CA build but ended up this way due to obtaining both pieces of Danetta's Hatred, and trying to make little tweaks to better get along with the heavily vault dependant playstyle. I know most "pros" despise this set, but I'm having great fun with them. I'm not a fan of using ai elements to cover my ass (like 5 pets+several sentries+followers, etc.as demonstrated by end gamers)
I don't have hatred starving issues. So although I have a Reaper's Wraps with good rolls including +%fire dmg, I use these bracers (which I'm trying to switch +%poison to +%fire but unlucky so far) for a little more dps.
I'm comfortable with T1, surviving T2, and dying a lot and killing elites take long ,in T3 and beyond atm.
I might have screwed up on the helm enchanting (wasn't aware of fire superiority by then)
Anyway, I'm open to any suggestions like what afflix to go after on which slot, what type of gems to upgrade, or build change, please don't spare any hatred ^^.

First of all, you have a too low hp pool. Focus to reach at east 400k if you want to go up T4/5. Boots/Bracers could get a goot VIT affix, but i suggest you search for better bracers/legs.
PAssives are just a mess You don't need both Grenadier/Ballistic - focus on one (suggested Grenadier). Sharpshooter is a crap of ability. Get Blood Vengeance, Perfectionist and Awareness and you should be way more resilient to monsters.
Last, you don't need 2 spenders - ditch Multishot and take Smoke Screen/Healing Vapors, a great tool to save you.
What about gems? Should I go emeralds all the way, or swap some of them with diamonds or amethysts?
about sharpshooter - when I drop it, paper dps goes halfway down (?), but not sure if I should care.
about ballistic - multishot and CA (with selected runes) seem to benefit from it (also Vengeance maybe), so aren't I losing some serious boost there? Besides grenades do not seem to be doing as great damage as multishot, and I generally spam it only when I'm out of both resources.
Sharpshooter boosts the dps number just because it stacks your crit chance to 100% - that bonus is reset for every crit you do. So that is a fake dps.
About Ballistic - yes, you can use it but you need to focus on one of the two - in your build you have half abilities that benefit form one and half from another, and you don't actually need them all. Also Grenades do less damage because they are a generator, and until you get some good gear you're going to use a generator for a long time if not forever. Use the grenades that give you 6 hatred - you will use them less and spam more CA/MS.
What piece of gear should I focus on next? Also, should I continue to focus on Cooldown Reduction or make an effort to go with Sentry skill bonus? I feel like CDR is extremely important for our sentry build and outweighs the damage increase from the sentry skill bonus.
I'm currently running on T4 but I feel like I'm not kicking out the damage I should be.
I haven't been super lucky with gear but what I have gotten I feel like I'm rolling the enchanting wrong. I'm also running with perfectionist because I feel like I get trucked without it. I had a kridershot before ROS dropped so I been crossing my fingers everyday for another to drop. I loved that thing!. The one thing I did notice was I probably need to reroll the companion damage on my shoulder to sentries now that I'm playing around with those.

The question: I'm farming for my RoRRG and have 5 piece marauder, TaT and Garwulf, but where to go with it.Is it best to take 4p with
TOT:+692Dex,+653Vit,6%IAS,9%CC and 40%attack speed to pets
Garwulf:+443Dex,100RA,10Disp,3Sockets
or to take 5p with current gear and
Marauder's Gloves:+655Dex,5%IAS,9%CC,39%CHD
Bombadier's Rucksack:+636Dex,+681Vit,17%IAS,9.5%CC and a reroll on a skill (sentries I imagine).
I can reroll my ring, neck, bracers, and potentially another Andariel's Visage to %Physical
