For the OH, you are not looking at the damage of the weapon, but what stats it gives you to compliment your MH. The OH is purely a stat stick. This is why I suggested the first Balefire Caster over the other. It gives you 4% more Fire damage, more Dex, and you have rerolled into the 10% CDR already. The 10% damage on the other Balefire is a completely worthless stat in your OH.
Quick question. Recently started playing with a Krider Slow Ball build. I'm liking Iceblink for solo as a way to reliably proc cull the weak and BOtT, but for group play with a Witch Doctor I'm wondering if I should run BotP as my 3rd gem. I'm assuming the Witch Doctor's cc will be proccing my CtW/Trapped for me, so 15% to elites (I have no other Elite damage) is better than +10% cc?
taeguk
would be another option if you are fine with holding the stacks.
How do you hold the stacks when spending decreases your DPS? Golgok should be used to increase the quantity of balls. This will also pretty much give you perma wolf bonuses as CD will be reduced by Golgok as well. The other gems should be BotT and Zei's. If you want the 10% CHC bonus you have the option to stand in a caltrop for that. If the the monsters are locked down this is probably your best option. Mind you if you have 400% CHD this is a 40% overall bump to your DPS. Ambush gives you that, but it stops when the monsters hit 75%, the caltrop lasts until the monster dies if you keep replacing the caltrop. With slow ball you don't need hatred generators, so your skill bar can be Caltrops, Invigoration, Wolf and Vault. Of coarse you can swap out Caltrops for MfD if the other DH isn't equipping that skill.

Related to your comments. I guess cooldown and area damage on shoulders would be the best combo for slow ball..
I've been playing the game off and on, but I'd still say I'm more of a noob than anything so I'd like to get some good advice. I'd like to try out this new rain of vengeance spec for my dh. And I think I found a pretty decent bow for it. Can someone please give me advice on how to reroll this thing?
Right now i'm using Krider + MB with the UE Lighting Build...
But the bow is not a ancient one, and i don't know if i should stay with this anyway, or if i should change my build to a UE Fire Multishot and craft a Ancient Arcane Barb (plus find a DML) until i find a Ancient Krider.
This doubt aside, what should i'm trying to find to improve my DH, in gear?
I play with a 4 players group, and have a zpds WD to help, so i think Lighitng is best than N6 right? Anyhow, i still don't like of the N6 play style.
Thanks.
PS: Sorry for the my crap english, it's not my native language, hope my text make any sense.

If you only play multi player and enjoy the playstyle of slow ball then you may as well stay with it and just keep hunting for better gear, most notably an ancient Krider, however if you do decide to run a fire build (eg if you get a good Odysseys End) you will need to get resource cost reduction on some of your gear, like shoulders and gloves. Preferably, you want rcr on the weapon as well. Unlike slowball, your spender is where your main damage is coming from so rcr is very important.
Just started demon hunting going for an EU build of some kind. Got all 6 pieces but in quite a quandary given my weapon choices(neither are really good). My question would be whether to roll disc or damage on the caster(i do have gifts to use). i did get a Seething Hatred quiver so i'm using chakram as my generator right now as a substitute for kreider.

I wanna ask about Natalya´s breakpoints and CDR. I did 49 solo HC without knowing anything about that and now I would like to set my gear properly. I have 1.88 APS and 34,79 CDR: helm, shoulders, one weapon (can´t roll cdr on my Nat xbow) and paragon. I can reroll both my rings to 8% CDR, but I loose cc or cd stat and I´m not sure if it helps. Also I can switch Nat xbow with CDR, but it would be drop from 3400 dps to 3050 dps and minus almost 1k vitality, which is bad on HC. I tried some variations and with my options it seems best combo could be to reroll one ring to overall 39,99% with 1,88 APS, but it is different from 4:1 and 3:1 numbers. So, what would you recommend? Thanks for replies. Have a nice day.
I'm not one to judge your gear as you beat my solo best haha, but I just know that 47% makes N6 a lot easier to play
I expect to get laughed at but I'm on the fence because while one is ancient, the other has max discipline and I can still roll % dmg on it and gift it.
Thanks for your help
Ancient one, badass base damage and max elite%, the extra 3 disc is 3.5% extra damage tops, not enough to outweigh the extra damage from an ancient bow
I have a general question ( currently at work so i cannot go to official D3 websites...thanks corporate America )...but just wondering...I recently just managed to get Greater Rift 50 Solo DH, I'm currently at paragon 555ish and I was wondering...how in the HELL is it that some of the people doing Grifts 55 and up are managing this...Please bare with me for a second before calling me a complete casual rofl.
Basically my question is...How much does para Level affect GR's above 50? Is it practically impossible (outside of godly gear) to clear GR 55+ without fishing for perfect rift and/or having a para level of over 650?
You can feel free to Armory (I was speed farming last night so i logged off on my speed farm gear - so im not wearing my heavy DPS pieces that i use for push). I currently run Nats6 with:
MH Ancient Nats with 24%RoV dmg, 9%dmg 10%RCR 10%CDR -
OH Non ancient Balefire 8% Elite dmg, 20%Fire Dmg CDR 10%
FnR - CHD 46% CHC 6% CDR 16% (8% on each ring)
Mara's Ammy - 17% fire damage 10%Crit Socket (no CHD I know..im looking for better ammy roll, thats as good as ive gotten so far )
Strong Arm bracers - 1.5% knockback chance 26% increased dmg after knockback.
^ These are the items that are NOT on my character sheet at this time since I logged off with my farming pieces on. I thank you for taking the time to read this :D, im really looking into getting more competitive and have been digesting religiously the guides by Wudijo. Im just trying to kind of come to terms and wonder if no matter how perfect i play, i just wont see Grift 55 without higher para levels or what.
P/S english is not my main language, so allow me to apologize if the way i made post is non sensical.
Returned few days ago to D3 playing a DH. I'm on T1, but it seems my dps is too low. I think my build is bad, I have bad stats... I need some advice regarding how to improve dps. Dont have any issues with life. Here's my armory, and sorry for not writing properly, I'm spaniard
You have Bola bow and quiver, but don't use Bola. Use Bola shot.
Otherwise, just play, play and try to get a set together. T1-T2, especially coz you play HC. Try to find a DH HC community, so they can share equipment with you.
