I will try to explain what is going on here. Evasive Fire with hardned will help your survival and generate some hatred and buff some of your damage output. Fan of Knives is your hatred expender. Companion I have them all because of the Marauder's set. Shuriken Cloud must be always on since you will stay on melee range for a long time. Punishment is your hatred filler. So why the hell vault + action shot? Here comes the nice part. Danetta's will add stun + knockback to your vaul, so this is crucial to trigger strongarm bracers. But why action shot? The damage itself is no big deal, but its 4 guaranteed Critical Hits, and thats necessary to fill your discipline back with Night Stalker! The Passives are all obvious (Night Stalker and Bloody Vengeance for resource regen, Cull of the Weak procs in every Fan hit) with the exception of sharpshooter. That was a test and I'm not to happy with it, since Action Shot resets it every single time. I'll probably go for archery or perfectionist.
3 - Play style
This is a high risk/high reward build that only works on Softcore. You will die a lot until you get the hang of vaulting like a madman. Turn Shuriken on, and vault towards the mobs. Spend most of your hatred in fan of knives, vault out and back to keep stunning, activating strongarms and replenishing your hatred and your disc (getting health globes and critting with action shot) You need thoughness enough to survive firsts hits, and awareness may be a life saviour (will test it later). Keep moving all the time, keep jumping to health globes and keep damaging eveything. Yeah, molten + lightining + fire chains sucks, and you need great positioning to not get hit by all of this at the same time. But after you get this style, is rewarding and fun as hell. I'm doing T3 right now (T2 and T1 are ridiculous, and barely jump and most of things are dead) but I need more crit chance (Natalyas chest would be AWESOME right now so I can use my boots and get the 3pc bonus) and more physical dmg (looking at you SOJ) so it can get to a efficient farm level. The red stone in my danetta's is a test too, since FOK works only with your main hand. When elemental dmg affix in arms get fixed I will remove all this AS because it doesnt add nothing at all to this build. Hope you guys can have fun with it....
Edit:I had a problem uploading videos....will do this later, when I'm home.
What are your thoughts on Chakram with the shuriken cloud? I tested it once briefly, and I think the damage applies as the (one) swirling chakram around you connects? Seemed a little clunky to me, but we don't have a third skill that functions as a close range aoe to replace it with, so I can see why you choose it.

I'm pretty sure is not that visual...its like a DPS aura that connects the first time as soon as the mob get to the aura range, and keeps ticking every second. Not sure about that, so I will test it more later on.
I am too running a similar build, trying to find my 3 piece marauders and have pets as my secondary damage source too. Is the ruby better than an emerald on the main hand? Here is a link to my current gear
Yes this is the build where I am having a blast rather than the cookie cutter fire build which gets boring really quickly. Am using Vengeance-Seethe instead of Chakram-Shuriken Cloud, the skill gives us slightly more range dps when we really need it and offers a 10hatred per sec regen too for more FoK spam. The only problem is the cooldown.
What do you think is the best gear for this build? (Apart from the fundamental Danettas, Sash of Knives and Strongarm bracers). For amulet I would suggest Haunt of Vaxo. With the amount of stun we are doing, the 2 clones will come in handy most of the time, they do significant damage too and won't lose to any of our pets.
The ruby is a test, and I'm not sure its better. About Vengeance, I'm willing to try it out but the CD is too long and Shuriken Cloud get's a nice damage with all those physical damage. I may try the Dark Heart rune instead of Companions....but not sure if it will work. A great pants that may help this build A LOT is Hexing Pants of Mr Yan. But I never even saw one out there.
- yes, Shuriken Cloud is just like an aura; it deals 200% wd every second and doesn't care about your attack speed. So as long one guy is inside its rage, it takes damage. Apart the damage which has been buffed quite a lot, it grants free crits which work really well with Nightstalker.
- nice idea the use of Strongarm, but if you knock back enemies, they will be out of your Shuriken Cloud aoe (which is very small). Maybe you want to check again this tactic.
- Sharpshooter is a crap of a passive made good only by the companion/turrets bug; i would recommend it to anyone and i'd actually like Blizzard reworks it. Also becomes worse and worse the better your gear becomes - if you like crit, just get archery since you roll with Danetta set (which will grant you also hatred gen).
- Using Vault/FoK/Cloud as main source of damage could be a nice tactic since all of them don't scale with attack speed - actually freeing you from rolling a primary on items (though from my tests it seems that raw damage is better than attack speed for DH, at least woth bow/1h xbow). You can go deeper in this way imho.
- last but not least, if you already know you're going to die a lot, this build just kills efficiency. Nothing wrong in playing it if you're having fun, but i don't think "dying a lot" is considered fun by many.
1 - Necessary Equipment
The absolute necessary itens are these:
1 - Danetta's Spite+ Danetta's Revenge
2 - Strongarm Bracerswith physical dmg
3 - Sash of Knives
Stack Physical Dmg and Fan of Knives damage in every slot needed. Here is my char, far from fully equipped:http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Diegofsv-1594/hero/771257

Sharpshooter sucks bad, you are right
You will die a lot learning. After this learn curve, you wont die anymore. Probably.
