That's 250k dps without SS. And probably more since his profile is missing a ring.
And I think it's called critting like a boss with cluster bomb. He uses the grenadier passive for quick hatred regen with grenades, and than does a truckton of damage with his hatred dump (3x cluster bomb).

Because paper dps is nowhere near reflective of actual dps. 2 people with the same paper dps can be miles apart on actual dps based on spec, playstyle, number of mobs, ect. Pretty sure paper dps only measures if you are attacking with the basic attack (the one you need to remove a skill for)

Yes that it exactly how it works. From what I've noticed with similar gear most classes can perform at very similar lvls. At least at a numbers standpoint, though some mechanics makes it easier for some than others (ie. WW barbs)

I've heard ppl talk about monks this and that that they can stack so much +dmg from mantra +passive +buffs. BUT a class like a monk has shitty weap dmg skills. Thunderfirst = 160% + 6x tornado = 120 that's a total of 280% weap dmg. In comparison DH's let's say you can do 2x grenades for every cluster with enough + hatred and -reduction. That is = 3x95%= (285 + 285 + 1150) / 3 = 573% weap dmg applied to your dps. That is a HUGE difference.

And since I had -9 reduction and with the + mark and the passive regen I just about hit the 2 grenades per cluster.

So then you take the DPS 326 * 5,73 * 1,3 * 1,12 = 2722k dps plus the about 250k~ dps from the sentries. I opted for placing 2 sentries total since the third would overlap or not finish.

So I was prolly a bit lucky on crit and slighty higher than my normal avg dmg. Or I was generating more Hatred than expected giving me more clusters either way I think this is close to what you can push out under perfect conditions. Of course more dps gives you faster kills but it scales the same so this is just about performance regardless of gear.

So what I'm trying to point out here and it goes for all classes there is more to it than just spreadsheet dps, thank god.

Calculating true DPS can be as simple as dividing the HP of enemy X with the time it takes to kill them, in seconds. If a boss has 30 million hp and it takes you two minutes to kill them, divide 30 million by 120 and you get 250,000 actual dps. Which would be awesome to average

This, of course, will have occasional aberrations, but it's about the truest way to calculate raw DPS in the game

I know of a barb who did it in 30secs I already knew goin in that I was no where near where ppl could get I even used gimped 10mill gear pieces

Try and imagine that 420k dps DH who would prolly roll 600k sheet dps with passives and soj that would be 25~ secs.
