So I have 97K dps with SS but a weak base dps without it. Only 34K. I'm fairly new to the class so I'm not sure what I really need more of. I was thinking I need more crit chance or at least try and balance out crit dmg and crit chance more. Either way, I'm having trouble killing elites from Siegebreaker on and am looking for some advice on any obvious upgrades. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help at all.
Your crit chance is too low for your average crit damage. Your crit chance should be 30% plus. The +max discipline isn't much help, so your sacrificing alot of important DPS for something that doesn't help enough...
You should get better pants, new chest armor, quiver and other stuff. Get crit chance though. There is no point in using crit damage when you on crit 8/100 of the time or once every 12.5 hits. I have about 120k dps w/SS 60k w/o. Im just stuck to where I don't have any more money for upgrades. The most important things to use is in this order
Crit Chance > Attack Speed > Crit Damage > Dexterity.
Dex is is most important when you have a huge DPS bow since the damage is modified by 1% per 1 Dex. Crit chance is most important because if your crit chance is 40% your gona be hitting crits once every 2.5 hits. Crit damage increases the damage your crits hit and attack speed... Well increases your attacks per second. Build based off of that, but don't let your dex fall too far behind. And your gona want a bow with crit damage with that build and also use the "Archery" passive to increase crit damage by 50% while using a 2h crossbow.
I don't see too much Max Disc on your gear (it's just the chest, right?), so I wouldn't worry too much about dropping it. I agree with everything else the guy above you posted though, for the most part. The only exception is I value Cr Damage over IAS, I do so much kiting in Act 3+ that I hardly have time to stand still and really get the full value from the extra speed.
As far as upgrades that stick out to me, I would look for gloves that carry both Crit Chance and Crit Damage. Also, your quiver looks weak, and while the Dex is alright on it, there are Quivers with Crit Chance on them, and a lot of it, for a reasonable price. Between gloves and quiver, you can pick up another 10-12% crit chance without spending too much. Same with your Bracers, they're one of the standard slots for Crit Chance, so even if you give up some Dex, I'd find some Crit Bracers.
Anyway, happy slaying.
