Natalyas 4 piece bonus now gives 2 discipline/second instead of .42. That puts you at 3 discipline per second taking into account passive regen. As far as I'm concerned, this concludes the whole bis debate. If it's not natalyas, it isn't bis.
have to roll some pretty nice stats to use 4 pieces of natalyas (right now, before legendary buff) over rares. i cant afford to buy the nice ones and i cant get any to drop

(this build was before D3 launched... looking back on it now - i had no idea what i was doing)
I don't understand this buff myself. On the one hand, I have to think that it was intentional, since there was no other changes to the set to where this would be an inadvertent change. Why would they fiddle with the values of the 4 piece bonus unless they intentionally wanted to change it ?
On the other hand, i know of no one who was complaining about the bonus, and 2 discipline/second is just insanely op. I basically have access to smoke whenever i want and i don't even have to ration my ss usage. I barely even need to use prep. With tumble and tactical advantage, i can basically vault across the map and cover an insane amount of ground, and have my discipline regen back in like 5 seconds. Something this OP has to be a mistake, right ?
Add in Stone of Jordan w/ +8 max disc and you'll almost never run out of disc. SoJ is actually a very nice dps ring too if you find one w/ a dps affix along with it since +% elemental damage is actually +% overall dmg.
One major thing to think about, if looking to purchase these items, is the possibility of Set items getting buffed when they buff Legendaries, and the only ones getting buffed, are the ones that drop after the patch. So you might be gimping yourself picking up a set right now.

The dev's have already said that "set" items are just better Legendaries irrc. So, based upon that, when they say "Legendaries" they mean normal and sets.
only new drops of an item will be better!
get 4 piece as fast as you can, its damn good.
Why, when I can wait until after 1.1, and get a set that has WAY higher affixes, and the same set. Plus some people tend to think that it won't stay at 2/sec, that it'll get nerfed back to what it was, and this being this way, was a mistake.
we all know this will be nerfed, or "bug fixed"....nuff said
Just like you all knew NT was getting nerfed, right? I love the people that know things, like they work for Blizzard. Blizzard has not stated, and obviously changed this for a reason.
It is really hard to describe how amazing this bonus is in words. My death rate farming in inferno has basically been cut in half, since before the only times i ever died were when i made a stupid mistake, or i ran out of discipline. I still make plenty of stupid mistakes, but after playing all day yesterday with a friend, i don't think there was ever a time where i died because my discipline bulb was empty. If the only time i get to take advantage of this set bonus is from now until the next patch, the repair costs i save alone would be worth it.

If you didn't know NT was getting nerfed you were living in a fantasy land.

So you're saying between now and the next patch, you'd save roughly 60 mil in repair costs, as that is what it's costing to get a decent set, with decent adds.

Lol are you trying to be purposefully dense? Don't even try and attribute the entire cost of the set to just the 4 piece bonus, as you and I both know that the set does a bit more than that, AND has decent stats on it to boot. Before this patch, i was already running with 3 pieces. The only thing i gave up to upgrade to get the set bonus is about 160 dex when i swapped out my boots. It dropped my dps by about 8k ~ but in my opinion after experiencing the 4 set bonus, its totally worth it.
People who are actually using good gear will lose substantially more than 160 Dex. Natalya's set for me would be a huge DPS loss. Dropping 60 mil to lose DPS so I can SS more? I'll stick to not sucking at the game and kiting.
I also look forward to laughing at your sadness when the set is nerfed.

Funny. What is good gear? I'm sitting at 88k dps without sharpshooter. Is my gear crap? And since for some reason people in this thread apparently can't read, i didn't acquire the entire set JUST for the 4 piece bonus, I was already wearing 3 pieces before the patch. All i had to buy was the boots. If the set gets nerfed, I'll just sell the boots and put back my old boots. I don't see why i would be sad because of this? Try harder.

perma smoke screen got nerfed, this is essentially that, combine shadow power, with nt, your health barely drops. and for basically unlimited time with the set bonus.....its obvious it will be nerfed. common sense pal!

If you were using 3 pieces of Natalya's, you were missing out on DPS via better gear. Natalya's pieces just aren't strong enough, even with the bonuses. That is of course unless you spent more than 100 mil on perfectly rolled Natalya's, then I can see it being worth it.
So, if my gear is crap, what is better gear? You're making all these conclusory statements without a lick of evidence to back any of it up. If what you're wearing is better, by all means enlighten me.
Even if you CAN find a combination that is better, I'll guarantee you that the difference isn't a whole lot, definitely not substantial enough to overcome 2 discipline/second. And, by the stench of ignorance i smell in your post, I'm almost positive that you haven't experience what it is like to play this game with the 4 set bonus -- it makes everything easy mode.
The only substantial hit in dps i had to take was when i upgraded to nats boots, and that was because i had to settle for a pair with only 60 dex. That droped my dps by 8k, but frankly i would take a hit twice as big to keep this bonus.
this bonus rocks! but i think it will be nerfed soon
Or, they will leave it alone till the patch comes out ... with new / improved stats and nerfed regen ... but only on "new" set pieces. They have already said the new / improved stats on legendaries won't be retroactive, ergo it's pretty safe to assume they will just leave the current iteration of Nat's as is and just fix the set that is coming out. Make sense?
