Hey guys, I just wanted to share my Inferno Diablo Kill. I say possibly the worst geared Demon Hunter because my base DPS is only 32.9k and up to only 48.2k with 100% crit from sharpshooter. I had no legendaries or set items, no increased run speed, only +10 disc from quiver and +9 from chest.
I thought I would share this to show that Diablo is possible even with less than great gear. It took many attempts, most deaths of which were due to lag and to rubber-banding. This is also the reason I got stuck in a trap in phase 1, but thankfully popped my smokescreen quick enough. The kill took about 9 minutes. The quality isn't the best, the screen is small because of my monitors resolution, and the music is from Pandora.
It's when he hits you, even with smokescreen you get the debuff. Just don't get hit. I've gotten hit a few times with smokescreen up and gotten it. You just gotta spam smokescreen, health potion, and get to the healing well asap. The healing well will remove the debuff and heal you to full. I had some pretty clutch saves by doing this even when in the center of the room, not even close to a well. Unfortunately I wasn't streaming the few times that it happened so I cannot show you.
The debuff he gives you comes from melee. If you get it in phase 1 just sprint over to a well, it removes debuffs ontop of doing the obvious, restoring the hp you lost in the meantime.
In all phases stay away from the outer and inner edges of the level. Touching near them with your character makes diablo teleport ontop of you, because otherwise you could bug him out and get him stuck on the inner ledges incredibly easily. Kite him with mobility and stutter step.
Phase 2 is really the only phase that begs you have gear. The faster you kill the clones, the less chance you have to die. It is still doable with crappy gear, like in the video, but it will take some stupid sheer luck with the timing and type of your clones attacks. You never know when a bola will come or a quick impale, and there is a .5 second un-grace time inbetween even lingering fog smokescreens as the ability lasts 1.5 seconds and has a 2 second cooldown.
You can caltrop the clone (instead of having flying vengeance bats) and run away and kite to despawn if you don't have the damage.
+8 max disc is the minimum you will want to play through the game in general, allowing you to pop 3 smoke screens back to back before even needing prep. You can get this on a quiver/cloak
GIven this information, your gear is irrelevant. Well it helps. But it's not a requirement. No go kill diablo for your crappy 3 blues having zero valor stacks

Very informative and very true. Good luck to anyone else who is still attempting this encounter.
There are no achievements for Iskatu or Izual, but trust me, they were just as challenging.
PS: This isn't a topic discussing what people choose to do or not do in this game
You can completely avoid him teleporting if you stay away from walls btw, I believe it's if you're within 5 or so yards of a wall he can teleport. Otherwise, you can completely control him. Stupid good RNG on those Shadow Adds, wtb. Killed him with 48k DPS a few days before you and fairly sure I was the worst geared till now, so grats on that.

The kill attempt begins at 6 minutes 30 seconds. Hope you enjoy.

Congratulations!
There is no new boss moves on inferno just more health and thats it, there is no problem killing him at ALL.
I would say gj, well done if u showed how u deal with elites with retarded affixes in your gear.
Can i see achievments for cleraing act 2-3. Or u just used exploit to get to the final quest, to make video of another ordinary diablo kill.
PS: This game is not about killing bosses.
