I am wondering what builds are you guys using to get through normal, nightmare and hell. Why do you think your particular build is most effective for one of these difficulties?
Im currently using hungering arrow with scatter shot, chakram with razor disk (which is surprisingly the best aoe hatred-cost/dmg wise ability ive come accross yet), torturous ground caltrops, tumble vault, and the 2 others im not really using yet, didnt find a good place for them (usually spike trap or evasive fire in 3, and multishot in 4)
Archery and steady aim. Usually would get cull the weak but im running with tactical advantage because i can spare it and it makes my run through nightmare faster hah
-I used twin chakrams for as my secondary until I unlocked fire at will multishot.
-I used shattershot hungering throughout act 4, its dissapointing compared to puncturing.
-Using a rare high dex bow socketed with perfect ruby with the unique Fletchers Pride quiver (50 dex 35 vita 13% ias, 10% mf 10% gold find and hatred regen+)
Multishot pretty much any group of more than 3 enemies, puncturing on less and impale on bosses/champs. Caltrop + vault if you get surrounded. Preperation when low on hatred.
Ball lightning is awesome it cost almost nothing is a bit similar to d2 sorcess frozen orb when spammed.
Shadow power is used when there are ranged mobs and I get hit and I put in preparation so I can use shadow power a lot.
I've been using this build ever since I was having trouble dodging second act's last boss' attack while dishing damage. This build just let me plow through him while tanking his hits lol.
Shadow power's ability to let you tank stuff is starting to make me consider removing vault for something else I just don't what yet.

Get ready to get squashed in Nightmare :P. Or even in the end of ACT 3 and ACT 4. Getting one shot happens, good luck to "plow through him while tanking his hits"
Honestly I hope it happens, that build works but makes things a bit too easy
Impale with stun is a life saver, and I am spamming smoke screen in nightmare, offensively with multi shot and defensively.
Preparation with battle scars feels so good, sometimes i'm using it as an extra potion, or sometimes to spam smoke screen and dps or run away.
Ferrets are for fun, but I just love em and I can spare a skill since ive only been mainly using caltrops, hung arrow and multi shot since the beginning of nm act 3.
Couple notes: currently level 37. and not having many issues. Yes, I have two hatred generators: HA is absolutely devastating when used on single or double targets, and I can stay far away and fire it into crowds almost randomly and, due to the seeking aspect of it, still do well. Entangling shot I just haven't been able to convince myself to give up...the on demand slow is just too nice, especially with how fast some of the champion packs run in Nightmare (currently in act 2).
Caltrops+Vault seems to be plenty for getting out of trouble, although I have considered dumping Caltrops for Smokescreen. I also need to try out switching elemental arrow in for multishot; I've heard good things about it.

I would like to note that it works really good with a party, but i can also solo with it.
I've been using every skill and rune as they become available and this is my favorite combo so far in normal at like lvl 11.
I really, really like entangling shot with chain gang rune as well.

Have recently started experimenting with other runes/abilities that I haven't tried much or at all.
what would compel you to not use a ranged weapon?? haha
I am level 23 or 24 (I forget which) I just finished act 2 normal. This is the build I'm currently using at this level:
