Cool build idea.
I would replace Vault for Caltrops. Those little things can slowdown oponents in the arrow for a really, really long time, allowing you to easilly apporach then one by one and making it easy to aim grenades and spike traps.

Yeah I definitely have much respect for Caltrops, It'd probably receive a few tweaks after gameplay. My other DH build revolved around caltrops and a turret for healing, very control centric play all around. I am planning to play hardcore pretty hardcore <_<
I also think Shuriken Cloud (Alabaster Chakram) would fit very well into a melee focused DH build. Gives it a bit of a D2 Hurricane Druid style. Not sure what to replace though.
As for the passives I don't know if Perfectionist is such as good choice. It only reduces the cost of vault and smokescreen with 2 and 3 discipline respectively. Not sure if that really is worth it as they are both pretty situational skills, sure Vault is used for the stun so having that is always nice, but I don't think you'll need to spam it very often. Also for example if you instead take Night Stalker (gain 1 discipline on crit) I think that would be more effective, you'd only have to crit twice for each vault to make up for the extra cost vs Perfectionist.
If Discpline management seems to be no issue at all then there are a few other passives that I think would be suitable: Cull The Weak (20% increased dmg vs slowed enemies) - Extra useful if you end up picking up Caltrops, but pretty good with just Fan of Knives (A high dmg AoE with a stun chance and Slow + 20% increased damage for 4 seconds in one ability is pretty badass). Sharpshooter (3% crit bonus every second, resets 1 second after you crit). Pretty good just for some extra raw DPS. Also nice in conjunction with a Vault in+FoK(crit) = super effective :)!
I will be using a normal attack and will be looking to get the chance for crits as high as possible to help feed the discipline skills.
I have not decided on what weapon and if I would go with a shield.
no hatred gen's or spend's? lol fail. GL trying to kill anything in hell/nm. even with the best gear in the game i dont see this even working in hell let alone inferno

I play characters for fun. To me it is the journey and not the final destination that matters.
I think the character will be fun no matter how far I get.
I guess we will see when D3 is released and the progress of her. I have already given her a name BrauFrau
She will be a member of my Mentaldom Hardcore Drunken Masters Team.
I like this! I think too many people think in terms of "min-maxing" and what build is the absolute best, when really people should be thinking about what they want to play. I'm kind of a min-maxing kind of guy myself so I enjoy pushing the edges to increase my characters effectiveness but I also love flavour builds such as these! Nothing wrong with just picking what you like and going with it. I think people underestimate the amount of builds that will be viable (and I don't mean "farm-inferno viable"). As you say the journey is a big deal and what fail isn't it if you play something you don't like?
tldr: You go crazy drunkard! I'll be rooting for BrauFrau!

I completely agree with both of you guys, and hey guess what, it's a GAME! It's meant to be fun, and if that's how you want to enjoy it, why not?
Also, seeing Hans' build made me wonder about a melee DH with maybe just one hatred spender, no hatred generators, but having Fundamentals. Since it regens hatred each attack, you could throw out a spender here and there. It was something I hadn't actually thought of before, so thought it was interesting.
I'm also a min/max person, but I also want to have fun. I don't spend all my time looking at character guides or copying what other people say is good. I like to discover it myself. When I first starting playing DII I was a complete noob with the worst build ever and had no idea what I was doing with gear, etc. Same goes for when I started playing WoW. But it's more fun for me to learn the game by playing it than to read a bunch of guides or some such.

What do you guys think about this build? Not focused on using bow weapons, but rather daggers and having a relatively dagger centric theme altogether.
I'm pretty sure none of these skills require a bow/xbow to use.
Thanks in advance for your opinion.

But mine would be more of a melee build.
