I've been so excited looking forward to the release of Diablo III since 2009 but alas, we only get to see the trailers of the road to creating an epic game. But that doesn't stop me from getting more excited about the impending truth since it has already been a decade since Diablo II came out, especially now that they already brought out the Demon Hunter, a range character that I feel will more than fill that gap, the longing for a somewhat male version of the range character I love to play. I hope they also enabled the Demon Hunter to wield two different single-handed crossbows at a time, just like the Barbarian who can dual-wield single-handed axes at the same time. In my personal opinion, I think it would simply be boring if you grab the single-handed crossbows as a pair already. It'll be much interesting if you find it one at a time, so that you can make each unique & socket each one with different gems.
Kudos for all the die-hard Rogue & Amazon users out there, we are now Demon Hunters.
Just 7 more months before Christmas but only 5 more before October. And I'm hoping that anytime soon after the Blizzcon 2011, or even during the conference itself, Blizzard will finally announce the release of Diablo III. Now I am from Orange, CA & Irvine (Blizzard's Head Office) is just a few minutes drive from my place, likewise, the Anaheim Convention Center is also near. So, I wont let this one pass... I want to be one of the few who are present if & when Jay Wilson do announce the impending release of Diablo III at Blizzcon 2011. It will be a great Christmas present for me, for I will be able to literally really get down & play for long hours during the Holiday Season. If they don't make the announcement & just release the game, same way with like what they did when they released Starcraft II, it's all the same, as long as they polish everything in 5 months time & be able to release it by the end of this year. I'm even getting myself a brand new MSI GT680R (www.FRYS.com, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152239) just so I could bring Diablo III anywhere & play it anytime I have my free time.
Barbarian is big, like arnold in Eraser, he have two weapons that normal / halfgods can not lift.
A Demon Hunter is swift and should only wield one big stuff at a time. That is my opinion.
But yeah, Demon Hunter should have diffrent attributes in those two weapons!
good news for you, the pistol xbows which are the single-handed crossbows are each individual items. Therefore, they will have their own unique mods on them so you can be firing fire and ice.

Yup! A fact that was revealed on the B-Roll video time-stamped at .
You should also be able to see the Demon Hunter is holding two different pistol crossbow in her hands on the image from the Press Event kit (the one on her left is glowing blue which might have a sapphire in socket, while the one on her right might have a Diamond in socket):
Now playing the Demon Hunter would really be sweet... I would be able to socket one pistol crossbow with a Radiant Star Topaz for maximum added lightning damage and the other one with a Radiant Star Sapphire for maximum added cold damage (hopefully 'coz if it's not, then I'll opt for the Radiant Star Amethyst for maximum added Attack/second Rating).
Then maybe I'll keep another pistol crossbow handy, with a Radiant Star Diamond in socket on it for maximum added damage vs the undead.
If it wasn't like that I wouldn't have even been interested in the DH. A cold/lighting based bow to slow down your target from a distance and the other dealing some fire damage to pack the punch of the combo!

My PvP build would be different from these 13.
