Well usually the characters are all the same race, but the DH's backstory makes it so that doesn't have to be the case, so its certainly not out of the question. That being said, the WD is already black, and the voice of Samuel L. Jackson doesn't really go with the rouge-like character design. If I were to guess at any race other than white, I would probably go with a Middle Eastern or Latino character, as that seems to be a demographic not represented by the current characters. The Wiz is Asian, the WD is black, the rest are white or Eastern European in the Monk's case, so a (idk if this is politically correct but) tan character seems to be the only one not in the game right now.
I don't think it's as much about the equality between races in the game as much as it is the character represented. I mean, it's not like we're playing Afro Ninja. Certain classes can be ambiguous in race. I think that the wizard and demon hunter classes definitely have that element whereas the witch doctor, barbarian, and monk all come from a special location that fits their demographic and having them be different races only makes sense.
If I could have a black male demon hunter, I'd be set. If he's white, he better be badass as fuck.
