So, this was the dream for some of us for quite some time, having a melee DH, if not for progression, atleast for farming maths/rift keys.
With addition of the cube this adds some new options to the game and as im melee only player im not familiar with DH builds or item bonuses so much. Im playing DH only for fun, so its not quite geared much, nor i go much into gearing for him. Im using Bola melee build just for fun while farming keys.
So, anyone has any possible ideas for melee build? As i said, the cube is nice new addition and it opens some new possibilities, but will that be good enough to make a way for melee DH in any form?
Before anyone starts with "DH is made to be ranged and its not gonna happen posts", im well aware of that, im liking idea of having DH assassin build and i love how the one which i found here on forums plays out, as i said, im not looking for progression build, just build to have fun with.
Ty in advance!
There is a new passive, Leech along with a Molten Wildebeest Gizzard and Esoteric Alteration should give DH a lot of toughness and recovery. And you could use the cube/weapon combo of Chanon Bolter (Spike Traps lure others) and The Demon's Demise (Sticky Trap spreads to when it explodes.) Probably throw in Marked for Death: Contagion for more spreading. Spike Traps also have be reworked with shorter arming times for more viable use.
You could do this, maybe. Might be fun if you team up with a Monk to stack Exploding Palm.
Until Blizzard makes DH able to wield a melee weap with a quiver instead of a shield, i don't see that happening. Yes, we can make a build about all "no ranged weapon required" skills, but at the moment we don't have sets/legendaries that support this kind of gameplay (natalya being the more neautral set focuses on RoV which requires a bow).
I suppose however that a grenades/traps build can be thought on, and we still have that useless Shadow set which is going to be extensively reworked. There are chances (due to new sipke trap weapon added) that traps will be the theme of the reworked set.
