I got this ancient krider and before rerolling I want to make sure I maxmimize the dps.
My situation is whether or not to roll main dmg as close to 1940 as possible, a 6-8% dmg increase, or to roll discipline to 12 a 30% factored dps increase.
The question is complex because the main dmg increase affects the discipline % gain.
Base DPS before rerolling main dmg:
By that i mean is a 7% increase in base dmg multiplied by the 15% * 78 discipline points greater than the 2 discipline 30% dps increase multiplied by the -7% base damage.
The math being
Scenario 1:
Base dmg: 1,407,782
Discipline: 80
Scenario 2:
base dmg: ~1,505,684 or conservative 1,492,248 based on a max dmg roll of 1920.
Discipline: 78
My calculations led me to believe that scenario 2 would result in the greatest increase in dps, being greater than scenario 1 by 3%. But I've never been to great at math so I'd like to see if others can also do the math and come to the same conclusion.
If I'm way off please explain the math to me as I know I'm mathematically challenged.
