Question in the title pretty much sums it up. I really dislike the play style of Krider/Sloball so I was hoping something else may be viable. Say an Arsenal build with Ballistics and the quiver that makes MS hit twice? I messed with it a bit when the patch first dropped and wasn't overly impressed with the MS damage but I did zero optimizing for it. Now I have a decent BoW set I dropped with my monk so I'd like to go back and give UE a shot again. So, is MS alone good enough to push grifts with?
There are no hidden mysteries under a stone or smt about the new set. What more you can do is find a couple of focus/restraint, keep both buffs from the set up by switching back and forth between your generator and MS (which feels frantic and becomes utterly annoying after a while).
It's definetly viable, I'm currently playing arsenal MS balistics build on seasons on my DH.
Cleared gr 45 so far and working on 46+( lacking keys) got to 95% on gr 47 with 4 minutes left, changed zone and found yellow champion with reflect/fast/horde...couldn't kill/skip it and failed.
With a little bit of luck this build can go 50+ gr very easy.
I'm running a build similar to yours (on PS4) but with a, not very good, Balefire, Iceblink instead of BotP, and Vengeance - Seethe in place of Sentry. I mostly run with a friend of mine but I did a few solos yesterday and did a 42 with time to spare. My biggest problem is deaths right now. I kill plenty fast and the RG goes down super fast but I'm not quite there on the playstyle (coming from Physical M6). My gear needs some optimization without a doubt but my biggest issue is the faster mobs that close on you quickly. That and Reflect Damage is utterly ridiculous. And if I can't skip them due to mob layout they just take so much time. One or two shots while their reflect is up kills me.
