In my case, I found a really awesome Ancient Izzucob (sp?) that, after rolling some stats around and putting a RG on it...is significantly better than my current 2H weapon. I am using a Senty Marauder build, which I really enjoy...the sheet tells me I stick with the 1H + Rucksack, but I just didn't know if there was any inherent downside to that
1H crossbows have significantly lower per-hit damage than 2H crossbows (bows too, though the difference is smaller) to compensate for good dps at high attack speed. I'm not quite sure which one is better as white 2H x-bow will hit way harder (like 30% harder), 1H will let you do more attacks in the same amount of time. In the end, it comes down to how fast everything dies around you. If you usually stick to torments and don't go high in grifts, 1H might indeed be better. On higher grifts, though, 2H with increased damage are supposed to be better.
Either way, if you want to use 1H with quiver, it might be better to keep looking for a (good) ancient calamity. Since Natalya will lose +discipline and +%cc come 2.2, there is no real point of looking specifically for that one-hander. Though, if it rolls awesome, it's good to use too.
Test your might! Mortal Ko.... sorry, seriously though just test the two weapons in series of grifts and rifts and see which one works better for you. I run a 1H multishot build and I'm constantly leaving my party behind because of how fast I move and kill (T6). Higest solo Grift with same build was 45. It's a give and take scenario.
A 1H with a special affix would be more meaningful if you like to go that way. I used a good rolled Balefire Caster with twin chakram MR6 build for a long time. I switched to CA as main damage dealer to go higher, which is when you would feel a big difference if you swap to a heavy crossbow.

i wouldnt use 1h crossbows even if good damage, best is 2h crossbow for most damage per shot then after 2h bows..
"Do you guys not have phones?"
The only 1h I would consider is Calamity for the marked for death effect but that's just my own personal choice for my cold CA build.
