I've recently farmed some Hellfire Amulets for my seasonal character and decided to craft them all at once. Since I get many questions about how to reroll amulets or which amulets are good, I decided to record my experiences to give you an idea about what is worth keeping and what isn't. As expected, I got a few lucky ones, a few not so lucky ones, and a lot of garbage. I think my luck was a little above average with three very good amulets that also had useful passives, usually I would expect to craft about 150-200 for a good one. I've also tried to give a little information about what might be useful come 2.2 if you decide to play nonseason.
Out of the 100 crafts I got
10 ancient
23 sockets
8 worth looking at twice
3 worth keeping
1 close to perfect
Time investment was about 15 hours. I manage to farm about 10 machines per hour solo, with another quick DH up to 12 per hour. The rest went into actually killing the ubers.
On the YT link there's a timeline if you want to skip those parts where I talk about the crafts, in case you just want to see the rolls.
As a little bonus, I've added a short funny clip of me rerolling said close-to-perfect amulet after recording the crafts. RIP mats
TL;DW - Demon Hunters have very strong passives in 2.1.2, and the ultimate goal is to craft a perfect Hellfire because nothing else can come close. Given equal stats, you can expect a ~10-20% damage increase if you can use a good fifth passive, so when you try to compare a suboptimal Hellfire to a strong regular amulet, you should keep this number in mind.
That's because most of the time when I play GR I do it with group so I can easily focus on shooting/stacking taeguk. However I also use this gem in solo simply because it is quite rewarding when you can keep it up. Not to mention it's nice dmg boost;)
Sorry for my english - it's not my primary language.
W8... I clicked reply... forums r 2 hard for me....
How on earth do you solo farm 10 machines per hour? That's (on avg) 80 keywarden kills per hour, which seems more than impossible. It often takes a few minutes to find the wardens on the larger maps like oasis and misery.
I don't have that endurance to go on such a frenzy, and the HoV I had found earlier through expansion kept me quite lazy on farming HFA. During whole DH carrier probably this one was merely around 25-30th craft, and I'm glad that I won't have to do it again - at least not for DH

I've been farming keys and to date I have about 30 of each. It is possible if you run a very fast build like infinite vault DH. This is in no way fun though, it's quite possibly the most tedious and boring thing you can do in this game. I wish the devs would take a look at the current system as it is not "end game" challenging at all, just very very tedious.

Get all the Movespeed you can: Danetta, Wreath of Lightning, Hot Pursuit, Tactical Advantage, Action Shot, Warzechian. Set up 3 sentries as soon as possible after teleporting, so that you can set up number 4 and 5 immediately upon engaging. Also, I have killed a total of more than 1000 of each keywarden already, you'll know where they usually hide and how you have to move to not miss them too often after some time. My runs average 2 to 2.5 min in solo and about 1.5 to 2 min in a 2p party (2x DH, one going A1+A3, the other A2+A4).
That's an awesome and crazy job wudijo! I am in the process of farming 40 HFA, but after watching your video, it seems like I need to get more because RNG is REALLY random, and there were a lot of terrible HFA you got.
So I finally had the chance to finish watching the last half of the video, but yeaaaaaa...
IMO, you really really should have kept that last Ancient HFA with Atk Speed, high CHD, Dex, etc. I would have rerolled to have socket because Broken Promises should still be viable
Crafting 100 Hellfires + Commentary

And I thought "I have a bad luck"...
I crafted about 20-25 and got this:
Still using it and not thinking about ancient one:)
Anyway, hellfire or not you are still the Beast of the DH;)

First of all nice job!

i haven't farmed keys since last season, have they changed the drop rate to 100% on t6?
Season 7 Hardcore Demon Huntard #14 @ GR78
Unhallowed Essence Multishot Guide
No, no they have not.

Keys drop at 50% on T6 and 100% for organs. Both are group drops no matter the torment. I still have organs enough for 2 more.
I have a very similar ammy to the OPs except mine is Awareness. Can't quite get mine to 100%CHD, stuck at 99%.
But, the numbers are about right in my experience. You can get runs where no keys drops, but you get as many where all 4 drop.
The odds are actually slightly better than noted because there is about a 5% chance to get a second key which can be any of the 4.
I think these are independent rolls. At least it would explain the weird scenarios where the Act 4 key drops all by itself in Act 3.
This did happen to me when I only need the Key of War.
Switched over to Danetta's yesterday, much faster, but just as terribly boring farming
Is it 100% drop for organs for solo as well? or is it group only?
So I finally had the chance to finish watching the last half of the video, but yeaaaaaa...

Wow great ammy, I'll start farming those keys, will put my ancient danneta's pair I found and was on stash with no use.
Ps: that's a bunch of rolls trying 10% CHC uh
