Can someone elaborate on the logic behind Heavenly Fury - Ascendancy over Blessed Ground? Blessed Ground seems to have the greater net damage potential:
2766 over 6 sec direct from Ascendency
vs 1700 over 6 + 1550 over 5 (the latter for a total possible 11 seconds though; 3410 over 11?) with similar potential to hit more than the base spell's targets.
I am guessing there is logic that I am missing in the preference for Ascendancy?
The 2 additional beams from Blessed ground with Fate of the Fell don't prooc the ground effects. Ascendancy all the way for me, bigger radius = bigger chance for the beams to stack.
Thanks; in context of having Fate of the Fell, I think it makes sense now. When I have one, I will probably switch, but I guess with one beam, Blessed Ground does make sense.
