@Ult15 - Maikeru... looking at your profile - you have way to much life/vit/tough. You cannnot "live" your way through elites/champ packs, you have to kill your way through them. You have no where near enough damage for T4.
You need to farm Act 1 Bounties for the ring RoRG and add a piece to Blackthorns. Also you need to craft two pieces of Aughilds and with that ring - get the 3 piece bonus. No one with 3 yellow items, especially jewelry, should expect to do T4 easily. And your weapon doesn't really sync with your build. You have no real heavy resource spender (how many blessed hammers do you really need?), so first priority is get another weapon. And the shield is not ideal, you have a build that screams I will go toe-to-toe with elites, but yet your shield concerns movement speed.
I clear T4 solo easily, and group for T5 without issue (on my own I would take to long in T5 to be efficient). I am just missing 1 more piece of Akkhan to adjust the build for T5. Remeber you are better off in the Torment level you can do efficiently than trying to do a higher level that slows you down a lot.
I wonder what I could do at adjust my build based on what I have. Most of your suggestions are to find items, but that isn't something that can be done quickly. I don't have the plans forAughilds and it might never drop, so I can't craft it now. I have been trying for the ring, but no luck yet.
I've been hoping for a new weapon but this is the best I've ever come across (which oddly enough, I found on my wizard).
I do have another shield, which is an Ivory Tower (STR/AR/Life/CC9.5), and I do have a leg Neck - Haunt of Vaxo (it has basically the same stats as my rare, with more STR and VIT instead of holy dmg). Despite putting that on and gaining 5% sheet dps, my damage feels lower because I lose the 15% holy damage from the rare neck.
Yeah - Crusaders are really not that efficient overall - we are mostly clunky and wrath regen sucks for the most part -- so we are very dependent on certain items.
I suggest this - Open a Torment 1 or 2 Rift and basically non-stop run through -- don't stop for "trash" -- just pull it all to the elites and champ packs you find. Kill it all, rinse and repeat -- popping every single chest you see. Kill Rift Lord. And then gamble your shards. First get someNemesisBracers, so that way you canequip them for Shrines and Pylons to spawn elites/champs. Then gamble to get some indestructible shoulders - that will keep costs down overall. Then gamble for Shields - you want one with a "orange" ability that helps you kill stuff. And craft the biggest Red Gems you can for gear - forget resistances. In your helm you want either MF or CDR. STR is the most important stat overall.
Repeat this until your eyes bleed. Every time you drawl a blank and are skunked for a legendary in a Rift run - go do a Act 1 Bounty fast and then go back to Rifts again. Every 2-3 Rifts - go do another Bounty, repeat this cycle until you get the Bounty Reward Cache. Restart game and do it again until you have the RoRG.
And yes ignore the paper-doll sheet for damage (IAS is way to highly rated for Crusaders for example), until Blizzard actually makes it useful -- I just track the amount of crit damage I do on a monster and adjust from there. And remember Armor is more important for most defense concerns.
Eventually, your main goal will be to have the "right" about of CDR along with Elite Damage Increases.
Finally, as I have a couple days off work, I've got time to answer to a few guys. I think I answered all of the ones that weren't already answered.
Quote from Kintner
Wearing pretty much the best gear I have. Have a few other items including a Votiya's, Kassar's, and a Final Witness.
Needing some help with build plus advice on what to spend my shards on. T1 is on farm, T2 can be a struggle. Any help would be appreciated!
If you're running a lightning-based build without 6pc Akkhan's, hammers are the way to go.
Firstly, you want to gem your gear properly. I generally tend to prefer rubies. Then some reforging. Reforge falling sword damage on your shoulders to allres. Reforge the blessed shield damage on your helm to blessed hammer damage. Reforge the life on hit on your legs to 2 sockets. Reforge the fist of the heavens damage on your shield to blessed hammer damage. Reforge the shield bash damage on your boots to blessed hammer damage.
Definitely doesn't have to be a lightning based build. I'm just trying to find a build I can roll with. Been trying to get some reforges done. Got the pants and the shoulders done, reforged the shield but I'm having no luck with that. Trying to upgrade rubies and get them in my chest / pants.
Any suggestions on an actual spec? I tried changing to Hammers, but it feels weaker than Fist. Any suggestions on what to spend my shards on?
Just to give some general advice to any crusader.Basically unless you have 6 part Akkans set bonus or Gyrfalcons foote you should always have a primary/generator attack in your build otherwise its going to be very clunkly especially on bosses/ elites. There is a possibility of using provoke+ shield glare instead of a generator but I would not advise it.Fate of the fell is an amazing weapon but unfortunately the Fires of Heaven rune for Heavens fury does not proc rally anymore(which is totally retarded on Blizzards part)so for T6 it is currently viable but not all that great.Provoke with the charged up rune allows most skills to proc rally even if the skills that will not proc it by themselves such as Fires of Heaven rune(this is a very important mechanic to understand and is also why most builds should have this skill with this rune). Also a blessed hammer build is very effective for T 1-3 and is probably the least gear dependent so its a good starting point. These are very general points but they are good to know to anyone starting a crusader.
I currently run this set, in process of getting aughileds helm and, crimson set for pants/belt
I also have a fire set but with 4 piece akkhan i have issues getting it to work, farming t2/t3 but t3 is slow, think it will be faster, I have a jekangbords
maximum, cindercoat, andariels as well, any tips or crituqes are appreciated,
I guess for now i am better running just holy with the flail but think i can kill faster with a better build or better gear/set pieces
Auuugh the Jekangboard is killing me as I have 0 decent holy gear to use other than a really good Andy's, so it's going to be my main shield until I can find a good Lidless. I'm farming the mats to roll a few Aughild's to replace my shoulders/gloves for the set bonus since I don't need Ashera's anymore. I still feel like I'm not doing enough damage but I can kill Ghom on t3 in 15 seconds to 20 seconds on average. I haven't gotten around to it but once the Aughild's is done should I at least try for t5? I feel like I'm going to have a hard time transitioning:
I now have T2 on easy farm and T3 is doable alone (easy in good groups), but I still find my dps and survivability lacking and I die off bosses and elites sometimes.
I do not have any Akkhan pieces yet and my goal is to keep farming for those and some of the legendaries MannerCookie recommended.
My problem and question is this: I am confused about which weapon and build I should be using to progress:
-Heaven's Fury with FOTF and which shield?
-Blade of Prophecy and which shield?
-Others?
I have FOTF and many other legendary shields in bank, including Jekangboard (with wrath regen and 5 enemies hit), but I am not using them. I don't have Blade of Prophecy yet. Also: does it matter if i have fire damage on FOTF if my skill damage is holy?
What is my problem? Is it just the missing Akkhan's pieces? Is the Heaven's fury build I run viable to keep as I move up? Am I rolling my stats right? Do i have to switch to other builds like the Blessed Shield? I've seen other Crusaders tear up torment with the new Blessed Shield build where they throw it around.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

If you want to progress T4+ using a that build, you're going to need Akkhan's Set if you're focusing on CDR and Akarat's Champion/Rally. Fire damage on your weapon only matters if you're speccing into the Holy Cause passive (which only increases your weapon damage if it is holy), your weapon damage gets converted to your skill type otherwise. With the Heaven's Fury build, a crusader shield with Crt/Str/CDR/Heaven's Fury damage on it would be pretty good.
Thanks for the tips devwar.
So I guess that means I need to stick to Torment 2 or 3 farming for now until I get the Akkhan Set.
What about the other builds I see others use atm? Like Blessed Shield and Judgement (critical)? I saw MannerCookie switch from Heaven's Fury FOTF to Blade of Prophecy and Blessed shield, despite saying in his video that FOTF is THE weapon to use endgame. Any thoughts about Blade of prophecy vs Fate of the fell (FOTF)?
A lot of people running Blessed Shield are doing so due to how Jekangboard works with Blessed Shield - Shattered Throw, because the bounces apply to each shield that splits off (so potentially can have 18 bounces of shields at 330% weapon damage). Mostly likely something that will be addressed in a future patch, but currently works extremely well in killing things.
I've run a Blade of Prophecy CDR build and it works well, but my Blade of Prophecy was terrible, but I'm still using the same basic build. I also don't have many pieces of Akkan's Set, so I've been hunting down a few more pieces in Torment 2/3.

I am currently following MannerCookie's video guides very closely on the Heaven's Fury build T1-T4 progression.
