I’m wondering; what overall stats to shoot for before progressing onto a new difficulty level? I roughly have 230k damage and 7-8kmil toughness and I find myself solo’ing ‘Master’ relatively easily. So is there a consensus as to what I should hit before moving on?
Master: 200k dmg/??? Toughness
Torment I: 500k?dmg/ ??? Toughness
Torment II:
Here’s my character sheet. I do believe I’m overdoing the toughness stat, but I’m unsure if I want to regem or adjust skills to give me more dps.
I'm sitting @ 440k damage and 22m toughness on my crusader. i can do torment 1 safely but it takes me an eternity to kill rift guardians... like upwards of 4+ mins. playing on HC
I'd say about ~15k armor and 1k all res would make you safe
I would go normal bounty farming until you have 500k dps 5m toughness.
You can then start farming some rifts in torment 1 until you get at least 1m dps and 10m toughness.
You can then concider going torment 2 but torment 1 is probably most effective (at farming legendaries) no matter how good gear you have.
Depends on class I think. 500k DPS is really easy to cheese with some, but you can pretty easily do T1 with 350K and 4-5k toughness. 250k as the gentleman/lady above suggested may be doable but it will be a little on the slow side. I'm a little under 350k and a little over 5k toughness on my Crusader and T1 is very doable. 1v1 situations however are realllllllly slow.
If your not doing hardcore why not toss in all str gems in your gear... That will boost you a lot to get that dmg you need it will also speed up farming a ton to get the better gear that will boost your toughness. It's also worth to not that your gear should dove tail with the skills your choose.
I made the mistake of diamonds at first as well, switch to rubies you will be much happier. Since you're not running a punish build and only have 20 percent block on your shield I would roll wrathful instead for the healing throughput and replace hold your ground with finery for 70 str on top of each gem that will already be giving your str if you switch them. Don't forget that STR gives damage reduction as well as dmg itself. You'll kill things much faster if you do those two things. If you have survival problems (which you shouldn't) then you could run law of justice with immovable object instead. Find a 2h weapon with a socket even if it has 200 or 300 dps less (which in honesty you should be able to find one with more dps and a socket) it will increase your dmg immensely with a emerald in it.
As far as the topic post goes I go with this rule of thumb:
T1: DMG 350k+, 4 mil tough
T2: 450k+, 5 to 6 mil tough
T3: 500-600 + elemental mods, 6-7 mil tough
That's as far as I've gotten but Im sitting at 580k dmg, 6 mil tough, 60 percent holy dmg, and T3 is doable but not quick at the moment. I find that at 6 million I'm slightly squishy, but I am running offensive passives. I could sub them for defensive ones and last longer but take longer to kill. I don't die typically with those stats but, I do have to pay attention to things.
Sheet numbers are so skewed I wouldn't pay much attention to them. doing T4 with 9mill toughness and 500k dps. I'm able to do T5, but it sucks when I get mobs like ghosts or quillfiends so cba lowest resist is 572, just get phys- and fire-res and you're good to go. Running with finery, holy cause, wrathful and heavenly strength.
