HELLO! I am mighty LuBu (#1403)! I recently came back to playing D3 again ever since I quit after soloing Inferno in the first few weeks. Words in Luo Yang is that the game is much better now and they are bringing in Crusaders; my favorite class in Ragnarok Online! I got so excited I just have to pretend to be sick and skip work so I can shield chain and grand cross MVPs to death and be a general menace to society! I killed so many people, but for some reason, people say crusaders are sucky! I do not believe this, so I decide to make a guide so that others may benefit from the chaotic death I've recently brought upon the world!
TL;DR THE BUILD
What this build does is basically turn you into an unstoppable JUGGERNAUT BITCH! that blocks every small attack while healing and EXPLODING! Fun for the whole family! My current stats allows me to clear T3 with relative ease (Though DPS might be a little on the low-end), I am virtually invulnerable T2 and below (Where every hit will heal me instead)
Punish - Roar / Celerity: Bread and butter, gives block chance for mitigation (and healing with Renewal). Roar will cause you to perpetually EXPLODE! While Celerity helps builds up wrath for Shield Chain Spam...and the actual spamming itself...
Blessed Shield (Shield Chain) - Shattering Throw: This skill is much more useful than one may think. The most important (and hilariously annoying) characteristic is that it will fly all over the place and hits next to a million things and generates the most annoying clanking you will learn to enjoy. Why is it good? Because combined with Holy Causeit will heal you quite nicely, and will cause quite a bit of damage while you have Provoke - Charged up active. Best used with this little toy. Enjoy Rapid Smiting your enemies to death with it.
Provoke - Charged up / Cleanse:Provoke is a wonderful skill. It builds up Wrath, keeps enemies off your friends, and help you do massive damage. With Charged up every damage you do will add another 50% lightning damage such as: Shield Chain and EXPLOSIONS with the side-effect of bundling them up for you to do even more damage! Cleanse is for when you want to tank more seriously; it will significantly increase your life on hit if you were to provoke a rather large hostile mob...
Condemn - Vaccum: Suck up all the enemies looking to stab your friends in the ass and BLOW THEM UP! ...enough said.
Lawls: Justice - Faith's Armor for Mitigation, Valor - Critical if you are in no danger and want to turn into a lawn mower.
Ultimate: If you are like me and have a Mortal Drama then you will enjoy Bombardment. I use mine with Annihilate because my crit chance is rather meh,but Impactful Bombardment will be better once you have a bigger crit chance. On the other hand, if you managed to get a Fate of the Fell then feel free to rain down the LIGHT OF JUDGMENT and terrorize the world as Kefka once did. (It also does holy damage which will heal you even more) Or if you like, feel free to abuse Cooldowns with Akarat's Champion - Rally: This build is made to see numbers, so all your skills will be refreshed before you even know it! More mitigation! More Damage! MORE EXPLOSIONS!
Other Skills: Steed is great if you have no CC reduction and need an escape plan (Although I'd personally never take it because I am NOT afraid), Iron Skin - Steel Skin will get you out of sticky situations...or you can just blow up with EXPLOSIVE SKIN...
Passives:
Heavenly Strength is a no-brainer (outside of amazing 1 handers),Holy Cause allows you to heal with shield chain and will give you a hefty DPS increase especially if you have a holy weapon. Renewal heals you every time you block, either mitigating or healing you outright while Hold your Ground pretty much gives you 15% block for free and an obvious synergy with Renewal.
Gears
I actually don't know what all the uniques and set items are myself, but I prioritize/enchant whatever drops I find with this here Tier List:
1. Funny OP Set/Unique effects
2. All resistance and/or other mitigating factors like block, up to 75%
3. Strength
4. Crit chance and damage - Yes I know.....but I just love seeing big numbers and killing things quickly
5. Life on Hit or other healing Mechanisms
6. Vit, Life %, CC Reduction - Fake stuff that makes my toughness looks tough.
Paragon Points
Str > Crit Chance then Attack speed > All resistance then Armor then Life -> Life on Hitthen AoE Damage
Well, the formatting looks nothing like the preview showed, and I can't delete and start over...and it doesn't seem to fix itself no matter what I do, guess I'll just leave this eye rape here and forget this whole thing ever happened.

I was already running a build similar to this and dubbed it the Captain America build (shield throw :P)
The difference is I use Akkarats Champaion - Rally with Heaven's Fury. I also use Blessed Shield with Combust rune.
Combust has much better synergy with Condemn - Vaccum. Pull everything in and then the Combust explosions stack hitting everything around you.
Akkarats Champion - Rally - Well this is for the wrath regen, boost in dps and the CD reduction on dmg (works well with Heaven's Fury - Blessed Ground)
Iron Skin - Reflective Skin - -50% dmg and reflect 200% of that back to mobs. Good survival skill and you can have it up a lot with Akkarat's Champion - Rally proc.
The main issue with this build is Wrath, but that's an issue for every build with Crusaders till you get Gyrfalcon's Foote and can spam Blessed Shield all day (then you'd also stack attack speed).
I also have that shield (got it off Kadala :P) that increases blessed shield targets hit. Its a must for this type of build. I'd suggest rerolling the Blessed Shield % dmg on it to +Crit Chance tho.
Also, you failed to mention that Hold Your Ground passive is a must since half of your shields dmg stacks off of your block chance and this gives you an additional 15%.
This build is outdated, I'll have to remake it when I get my hands on a Gyrfalcon's lol I have every assumption that Gyrfalcon will turn Blessed Shield into a monster!
For the meanwhile I am just using my Explosions Build with triple Heaven's Fury Shotgun until I find that new toy tee hee
