I have to say your lightning build is really weird. I also have T4 on farm with cader 4 set so it just seems odd to me. no heavens fury with blessed ground ? the amount of procing with charged up is inane. No point in ever using fist of the heavens when you can have blessed hammer damage on helm/boots and crit for 7m. literally melts stuff in seconds in T4.
I guess diversity in builds is a good thing, just doesn't float my boat. Watched your latest stream for the build and it just looks very clunky.
I have found Magefist and rolled trifecta. I'm not even to having the gear you have btw. Excellent guide Mannercookie! Thanks!
I've seen a build that's orientated around Punish - Roar and Blessed Shield - Combust.
You can also take Iron Skin - Reflective skin and stack thorn dmg with high CC and CD. You need to have high block though but it seems that the legendary shields are still rolling crap value for block. Healing comes from Hold Your Ground + Renewal passive talent combo.

There's a lot of build diversity under T4 depending on what items/proc on gear you use, the lightning crus highlights depending on which you watched has one with very little light gear and another with more optimized gear setup (i.e. shcaefers hammer).
I'm sure there can be better builds, I haven't theoried too much on a light crus as I feel holy is vastly superior to any element for the Crusader.

I guess the Blade of Prophecy is a big piece of your build? With 2-3 simultanious explosions you can easily melt an elite pack.
How good is Akarat's shield? Is it as crazy as it sounds?
What is your endgame spec for the 6-piece bonus?
It's great for AOE but it's not the core of the build, Fate of the Fell is.
My Blade rolled near perfect, where-as my fate of fell which I recently found rolled terrible so I often use it over my fate, although fate is still more EPS unless it's high density
Akarat's shield is amazing
end-game spec can be seen in the T6 initial testing clip on my twitch
Not meaning to be a jerk or anything, but rather intended this to be constructive... You should take a few minutes to do 'tongue exercise' in which you just say gibberish that makes your tongue work, to help relax yourself... I was watching the vid you linked, and the one thing that kept me from really listening was all your word fillers, your ums and your uhs... It's a small complaint, but small things do add up, it's a good guide none the less, but you state you stream as well, so that's going to be a hinderance to entertaining the audience, perhaps you are nervous?

I'm not nervous, just me thinking I suppose? I've made quite a few videos now and generally I don't have a lot of time to plan it all out and record it on the fly unless it's heavy content.
Keep in mind that I do this stuff all out of my free time, I'm sure if it's something I did as a job I would script it out and plan ahead and put more time into these vids.
Thanks for the constructive criticism, I received this complaint on that video on the comments so I put some more time into the second part of the video series, you should find that more appealing since I did put 3 hours of my free time into it and there is less "uhs" and "ums".
I love my Fire Crusader. =) Nice to know I am going in the right direction as per your video. Maximus is one of my favorite weapons in the game I just love it and how it looks.
Hey thanks for updating stuff here.... really great topic
1 question: in "stats to iam" picture why you iam for only 20% crit chance?? why low?
Judgment skill with Resolved rune increases your crit chance on affected mobs by 80%, so together with 20% CC from gear, you're guaranteed to crit on them.
The changes in the data-mined notes brings Heaven's fury closer to the other skills available to the Crusader.
It was clearly favorable over anything else before these changes.
The most notable changes to me are, the changes to Fist of Heavens and Shield Bash.
They show promise of performing at higher difficulties now, but they both share the same problem of being a 30 wrath cost skill which is very low heals when combined with the 4 piece Crusader set, making it extremely gear intense in terms of secondary rolls (health globe+ on gear) to make them viable enough to sustain at higher difficulties.
My melee crusader setup I briefly tested during beta shows promise though, I've already begun putting together a potential set I will test once patch goes live.
Here's a clip from a few months back of my melee Crus testing
How is it you gain health with nothing but Vit on your gear? Is wrathful and a bit of life per wrath spent enough?
Lately I've been cutting all the Vit off my gear and getting AR and Life on hit. I find having lower total HP, but higher mitigation makes healing much much better.
But, I run a fire build with Gyrfalcon though, so I can roll with a bit of attack speed to boost my life per hit healing... Maybe it wouldn't work so well with a 2h.

Thanks for this! My crusader is pushing 70 soon and I'm having a hell of a time just in Master, but I'm grabbing gear as it drops so that shouldn't be too surprising. I'm doing a really goofy build and I'm only 63
Hey Manner, I'm glad someones having a detailed guide to crusader. I was wondering if Blade of Prophecy could carry the crusader up to T6 or is Fate of the Fell an necessary item to progress that much further into higher torment?
Also wondering if the Justice buffs would matter for a primary wrath regen or slash would be a better combo with electrify for stun combo later on.
My problem with Judgment: Resolve builds is that whenever enemies are immune or able to break the snare (which frankly happens pretty often, and I'm not sure but I think it may also happen if you or an ally knocks a snared enemy back also) the crit chance bonus is lost. Swapping out the skill for something else is one thing, but gearing for 20% crit is a major commitment and a big loss if you don't have Judgment to cover it.

blade def can be end-game viable
justice or slash are both fine, just pick your playstyle and go with it.
with the new changes, justice may have more value though.

Fist of the HeavensNow deals 340% weapon damage (up from250%) Each bolt now deals 340% weapon damage (up from210%).
