now that my pony setup is RIP and it doesn't really matter, here's how I approach the pony setup in grifts for those of you who were curious about my timing with pony setup.
Despite what the masses use, Gogok is not the best choice of gem for this build imo. I personally use both banes + pain when I run this inside grifts. Roughly 35% damage during entire rift beats out a small APS buff when pain enhancer already provides extreme APS buffs with proper positioning, if you time properly you will also have roughly 35% buff majority of the RG fight and 15% the rest which also beat out 0.15 APS.
Positioning is key and it's very important to keep enemies within 20 yards when you are in combat to take full advantage of pain enhancer's buffs which are much stronger than gogok's 15% APS. You do not need the CDR bonuses if you maintain 56, you also do not need to run long arm if you manage your wrath properly and gear properly. The fear rune on provoke is absolutely the best if you learn to control the range and use of it.
This is a very skillful build to play if you are trying to maximize it's DPS potential, simply spamming the skill off-screen into masses of mobs is not optimal play-style if you are trying to achieve good timing and maximum DPS potential.
edit: APS buff is actually flat 0.15 and DMG boost is not EXACT 35% this is such to simplify my point of view on the matter.
I watched your stream where you progressed from GR 36-40 with condemn. In the video I noticed you mentioned that although you were attempting these high GR's you didn't feel that your current gear setup was optimal for a condemn build. Is there any chance in the near future you could make a stream where you go over what you feel would be the best stats for each piece of gear for a condemn build? Specifically if one were to want to run 35+ GR's with condemn.
I imagine the main focus over the gear setup you used in the GR 36-40 stream would be to find an SoJ which can roll with a socket,% CDR, %Elite Dmg, and %holy, a Frydehrs with str, %cdr, wrath regen, and %crit, so you could run 6 piece akkans with SoJ + Unity. Correct?
Manner for a stampede build what would you do with this flavor? I was wondering eek that last 1 percent phys dmg or switch it to a socket? Originally rolled the str off of it at someone's suggestion but feel that maybe I should have rolled the IAS instead....regardless this is where I'm at now...suggestions?

Edit: Ignore the bracers if you're looking at the toon as a whole just accidentally logged off with my swap bracers on (have strong arms 20 percent phys 6 percent crit normally in that spot).

It's not a 35% bonus from Banes. This is a common misconception. The 15% elite damage is additive with your other elite damage before being applied to your damage, same holds true for the 20% bonus.. So if you have 60% elite damage already (easy with furnance+unity), and 15% bonus damage already (champion minus 20% from heavenly strength), banes would actually give you : ((1.75/1.6)-1) + ((1.35/1.15)-1) = 26.7% more damage when the proc is up.
And 15% aps from gogok is not .08aps bonus. The 15% is multiplicative with your weapon speed so if your using a 1aps weapon (like furnance), its a 0.15 aps bonus.

Yes thanks for this, I did notice the APS seemed larger but didn't pay close attention and your right it's 0.15 flat increase based off wep speed.
But if we were to actually do math, I believe your formula is incorrect and should look like this.
Anyhow, regardless of the exact figures and the APS oversight I made on the comment and keep in mind I haven't done the exact math behind these next statements but I am curious to see if those that like doing math calculations would like to step in and try to solve this mess below.
Will 0.15 APS do less damage overall vs roughly 90% uptime of the powerful gem during the actual Grift clear even with extremely optimal conditions for Gogok where you have minimal movements between casts?
IMO, 0.15 APS will only do more damage with perfectly optimal conditions that require 0 wrath issues to support the extra stacked APS on top of other AIS bonuses and in fights where you will literally never move your position, while this may be true in a lot of gear setups with perfectly optimized gear I don't believe this is the case nor will you ever have situations where you will never move your position in anything Grift 42+
If you were to perfectly min-max the Gogok gem setup down to 49.22% CDR where 14+ stacks of Gogok will provide you with perm AC, now you need to factor in the math of all the situations where RNG prevents you from having 14+ stacks before engaging where you will out on 35% damage during each situation for 3-4 seconds not to mention we will lose considerable toughness during those 3-4 seconds which also affect our aggression and positioning, but with all that ignored you could technically say that you can gain two damage stats off gear by allowing our gear setup to drop 2 CDR rolls since the gogok's CDR benefits work exactly same as gear could net you 100% CD except that since we have to run unity+soj setup in end-game setups your actually at sub-optimal conditions because with 6 perfect CDR rolls including on the furnace your going to be at 49.22% with 10% in paragon ofc and you will require one more CDR roll to push you into safe of a margin to use the Gogok gem effectively so what ends up happening is your grossly over the CDR cap that is typical of the Crusader setups that run AC but are given the luxury of activating at lower stacks such as 7+ but still there will be times you need to cast at least 1-3 horses before you can activate your AC not to mention that you need to run Unstoppable Force to even support the Wrath but this at the same time also gives you a slightly less down-time on laws of valor's activated AIS bonus of 15% vs the 8% base.
Now let's even give Gogok benefit of the doubt and assume that we're in a grift where we literally never move and we have perfect 14+ stack activation and we also gain 100% CD off our rings with perfectly optimized gear setup.
Then it will be a matter of roughly 72% uptime of 100 CD + Dmg bonus of powerful vs 100% uptime of 100 CD and 0.15 APS buff + slightly less downtime of Valor's active's additional 7% AIS for being at roughly 61.24% CDR as opposed to 56%.
In conclusion, keep in mind I haven't done the math on this at all because I am pretty sure from just playing the game and guesstimating that a perfectly optimized setup that is perfectly min-max'd down will benefit more from a non-gogok setup than a gogok setup in terms of damage and efficiency in Grifts but I will say that having tried both gem setups I do feel it's pretty close but I'm favoring a non-gogok setup in actual clears and do believe that it will perform with much better clear speeds in optimal Grift conditions.
