In d2 the hammerdin was my fav. Quick moving speed with high damage from the hammer.
Now the crusader, from the same order of the paladin, has the same hammer skill called blessed hammer !
Looking at the expansion recap I see skill that boost your run speed and on the gameplay demo there is ecen a skill that allow you to teleport at your target location, you can even root in place with another.
So do you guys this the crusader will become the hammerdin in D3 ?
For me I am sure they will put that skill as a good skill, I will prolly use it with root, concecration, etc...
Let me know what you think of it ! If it is a good idea to bring it back !
I hope so. I really liked the Hammerdin playstyle.
I think it's possible, considering that the Tornado Barb plays somewhat similar to the D2 Hammerdin (laying down a damage field and manuevering enemies into it). If it's fair game for Barbs, should be fair game for 'Saders.
It'll depend on if the Crusader has a way to generate Wrath from Blessed Hammers, similar to how the Barbarian can use BS: Into the Fray to gain Fury from Tornado crits.
I'm not sure that fast movement speed + one teleportation skill will be enough to mimic the oldschool hdin from d2. Don't forget that most travel skills have cooldowns... like 10 seconds or so. The only exception afaik is the demon hunter's vault.
But yeah i'm pretty sure we will see some sort of a hammerder but it all comes down to whether there are other skills that output more damage or not... I mean, Every class is pretty much pin-poined to like three abilities at best (effeciently).
