Sounds like good damage mitigation in theory. (50% damage reduction from Falling Sword & 4 piece bonus, 40% reduced damage from enemies from Justice - Debilitate, CC all enemies in place)
The set doesn't need damage reduction as much as it needs damage.
Why not cube it?
Hexing Pants of Mr. Yan are preferred because damage and wrath generation are bigger problems that damage reduction.
The 2 first issue on this post saying why the class is underperforming.. i'm trying so hard to get attention to this post. Nobody care about it because there's not so much crusader players. I hope to get a blue post soon tm. Beside all these bugs it's still the highest damaging rune with lightning being really close ( you're just losing holy cause healing) .
I started as a Hammerdin this season, but i recently switched to Barb.... I just think the damage isn't there for this class and until i find a unity for my follower, i can even survive big packs. Just to add something on the carpal tunnel gameplay, every top crusader is stutter stepping with Hexing Pants to increase the damage and avoid taking hits as much as possible....

Many players bind Force Move to Mouse Wheel up and down. It's a highly repetitive and straining movement. I'd like to see a setting that disables Left Click casting unless Force Cast is used.
1. Carpel Tunnel - Yes but Crusader is hardly the only class/build with this problem at times. I wish it were less of an issue also however.
2. Falling Sword - Completely agree, FS needs it's damage increased quite a bit and the duration of the 4pc Light bonus needs to be increased in duration. 10-12 seconds seems more useful (12 may be a bit too good though).
3. Provoke - While I see your point I personally don't see the CC and mob debuff of provoke as ever having been all that useful, it's always just been a Wrath generator in my mind.
4. Items - I agree on Johannas Argument and I think that the limit of 3 hammers on Guard is silly also. I can see how such a dramatic increase of damage on hammers would be a bit OP if it affected all mobs but 3 is just too few.
On the other items I'm a bit confused on why you feel they are a problem. The game is full of items like these that, in a vacuum, seem great but when taken in the whole picture just don't bring enough to the table. And besides it's a bit unfair to bag on things like Justian's and Jace's for when their leg affixes were made long ago in a pre-2.3 game.
In the end though I agree overall that the Hammerdin build isn't as good as it should be. Damage is lackluster and survivability is spotty. Still, it's a fun build.

I've been playing the Crusader on Season 4 and I really enjoy it. Solo and in groups. It's a great set, but it's not perfect.
So these are my highlights. What problems have you noticed? What suggestions do you have to help your fellow Crusader? Let me know.

Why not bind force move to the space bar seems like it would be a a lot easier to do the stutter steeping with out crapping up your mouse hand
I agree with some of your points for sure.
