I want to try the sweep attack build (actually doing Fire SB).
I got a Golden Flense with 2500 life per wrath spent. It restores 6 Wrath for each enemy hit.
Is it always the same amount of life per swing (2500) or it is multiplied per the amount of wrath spent?
With the 10% cost reduction of Paragon Points, the sweep attack cost is 18 wrath.
- If I hit 1 monster, 18-6=12 wrath cost * 2500 = 30000 life restored
- If I hit 2 monster, 18-12=6 wrath cost * 2500 = 15000 life restored
It's only better than LoH if you are hitting a single target. Otherwise if you hit 5 mobs with your sweep you heal 45K life. But if you have say 30K LoH on your weapon, then you heal for 150K (30K*5) because you hit all 5 with the single swing.
Also it should be the final cost after RCR. The wrath returned from the Flense is a refund so shouldn't count.
Good news about the wrath returned from the Flense, but i have read (can't remember where) that the LoH have been nerfed, no matter how many targets you hit with 1 blow, you only recover the fixed amount of LoH you have in your stats. Am I wrong?

After a bit of research, it seems you are right. So I stand corrected, in this case yes Life per wrath is better than LoH. However, I wouldn't bother with it on anything but the weapon. passives and shield stats are too valuable to use this on.

I'm not sure if you have to call the LoH change a nerf. You only get it once per attack, no matter how many targets you hit, but you always get it when you hit at least 1 enemy. In the past, it did depend on the proc chance of skills.
As an example: sweep attack has a 25% proc chance (all runes), so on average, you had to hit 4 enemies per hit to get the same LoH as you get now. Also, it got more consistent now, you know you will regen on every hit.
I agree, I am not going to roll anything searching for LpW, it already was in the golden flense I got, so it was a nice bonus.
I only need another Ramaladni's Gift for the socket (I wasted last week 2 of them just improving my Swiftmount and my templar weapon), I rolled for the 10% enhanced damage.
Then I will finally try the sweep attack build.
Thanks to all!

Am i wright?
P.S. Sorry for my English
Wow! It is even better than Life on Hit! (I read it was nerfed, so you only gain the same amount of life per hit).
45k life on each swing is nice with the Roland Sweep Attack build.
Thanks!
P.S. I will test it at home, just in case the wrath returned by the weapon makes the healing lower...

Proc rates (might be outdated): http://www.d3maxstats.com/procrates/crus/
that would solve some issues to for me but each class should have the same ability to gain life.
(is in shields)
check for other classes for the same stuff
barb ; fury spend (belt peace)
monk : chi spend (is basicly in a stone item on her head peace)
doesnt has or have overseen it
witch doctor
wizard
