I'm actually doing both Maratini, showing off and asking for advice, sure. There may be something I've overlooked in how to reach my goal of having a really, really high life regen number. I took Shi Mizu because my crit chance is pretty low. In fact, I don't think I need any crit with it. The goal is effectively to drop to sub-25% and then do crit-spam with whirlwind. The Captain Crimson set isn't a must have, but it does give me 10% cooldown reduction, which is pretty good for ignore pain. The resource cost reduction is good for whirlwind/rend spam, but those aren't a problem anyway with Relentless passive. I'm missing sockets on both weapons actually -- I ran out of gifts. With a life bonus of 170%, every point of vitality gives me 216 health (a 136 increase). Inspiring Presence gives me 4.32 health back per second for each point as well, and each point of course gives me 0.5 armor. So the set bonuses that give me 2000 life per second are equivalent to 100k extra health, but that's only 463 vitality.
I'm missing 15% life on my chest piece, and Leoric's Crown could give me another 23% health from double-gem effect, but I would have to give up one of my sets (probably Guardian). I'm also missing 15% life on Rogar's Huge Stone, but the cost right now to roll it is too high. That's 53% life I still can get (plus 2% more from Ring of Royal Grandeur, 1% from Night's Reaping, since I can craft it) -- and I'm not sure if gloves can roll life%, but I'll probably reroll the 9% crit to vitality.
The thing with having HUGE health and low resistance is that you drop in life -really- fast, but Relentless kicks in so much quicker than with a normal health pool. So my 50% damage reduction kicks in once I hit 630k life. That's slightly less health than my regular barb has. All Resistance is only marginally effective then -- it doesn't do a whole lot except slow down how long it takes to drop to 35% range. I think 260% crit damage from sockets on weapons will obviously really help.
Ignore Pain -- yeah, I threw it in at the last moment because I was looking at skills that work with max life. I could do something else with it. My Crusader has a thorns/lightning build, but I wasn't too impressed by it. Granted not every secondary that could be thorns is thorns (there's some stray experience/health globe bonus stuff in there), but things do take a lot of damage (300k+ normal) just from hitting me.

Cons: I can't really kill anything.
Too bad zdps barb isn't a thing.....or is it?

But my Life% Barb is http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/igniteice-1237/hero/43200267
My idea for it came from the Rogar's Huge Stone ring. I figure with enough life regen, I could hit 300k life regen per second while at low life.
