Today I want to revisit the Fire Raekor's Furious Charge build, but this time with full IK set for supplemental single target and 'clean up duty' pets. I'm not convinced that IK is optimal for Raekor's or Earthquake builds, considering how much you give up in the process. With Raekor's, you can't use Vile Ward or Taskers, making both skills a lot weaker. However, it's still a solid alternative.
In this video I go over the build, paragon, gear, discuss strengths and weaknesses of this hybrid approach, and solo a tier 29 Greater Rift (Torment 7). Enjoy!
I also did some test on the PTR and it really seams the best way to go is only with one set at a time.
IK(fire) seems to be the heavy spender build (HotA, SS). My preference was fire as the Ancients are strongest with it and I could use Cinderoat, FotvP and Strongarms.

EQ (cold) - with cleave to buff EQ damage.
Reakor's (any el.) - Frenzy or any primary.
Thanks, glad you like them. I also think HOTA/SS - will work best with a pet-centric build because you're not competing for item slots. SS probably more than HOTA, since you can stay at range. Then you can still use Taskers, go max damage on pets (shoulders/chest), and get free slams with fury of the vanquished peak.
You COULD make EQ/Raekors work with IK weapon + Taskers (Ancients without TnT are very weak), but I don't have IK weapon yet so can't test to see if giving up weapon master (5% crit) and 50% elite damage (Furnace) is worth it.
does the snapshotting of cota still work on their attackspeed ?
if it does, i dont think you will loose anything compared to the extra dmg u will get with the "ekstra % fire dmg from cinder etc", but you will actually get a better well-rounded class that also supports a bit of single target dps then, rather then "just" stunning and killing with hota/charge the fire cota, is crazy strong.
Allthough 1 thing burns my eyes m8, why on earth are you using wreapers wraps? (u dont need the fury regen, u get a full meter every time u charge, due to the 10 fury pr monrter hit by charge passive) i would certainly recommend using strongarms and getting 25-30 % extra free dmg
just my 2 cents

Snapshotting no longer works, and for good reason. I hope they get rid of it on everything, as there are quite a number of builds that rely on snapshot gear swaps. Yes snapshotting is useless in greater rifts (all buffs are reset and can't swap gear), but we'll still be doing a ton of T6 - even more than now.
A pure IK Barb with Fury of the Vanished peak and cindercoat using SS will be fun! Hopefully it's gonna be strong, I have a nicely rolled peak in my stash ^^ (STILL NO FREAKING SOJ DOE!)

You'll want to get rid of it once you find a new one. The new Fury will also roll 25-30% SS damage on it as a 5TH passive. It's not retroactive though.

Well, I haven't rolled anything on it yet, and with Ramaladnis gift I can roll something for that extra SS dmg
Yes, that's why it's going to be so amazing. With Ramaladni's you'll be able to get close to 4k sheet dps AND have 30% SS damage AND have 50% RCR, which when combined with Cindercoat makes SS basically free. By the time you run out of fury your warcry will fill you back up.
(Primary)
+1500-1750 Damage
1100 STR + Life on fury spend ( you'll re-roll this eventually)
25% Seismic Slam Damage
Socket (Ramalandi's Gift)
(Secondary) + max Fury Reduces cost of Seismic Slam by 45%
4x primary + 2x secondary + the gift
At least that dropped for me on the PTR.
Then something is wrong. Patch specifically says SS damage rolls as a 5TH primary. You only listed 4 primaries. Are you sure that's what dropped on PTR and how recent was that?
Had your socket been IAS or CDR instead, you could have rolled the life per fury off as % damage like you did, and ended up with the stats types I used in my example. Again, it was merely to illustrate a point. Personally, with the way things are surviving in higher GR, I'd consider keeping the Life per Fury rather than taking the IAS. I haven't seen one yet on the PTR to test anything my self.

I actually don't think attack speed would be that great for the Vanquished. I'd rather have either life per fury spent or 1125 vit. Probably vit since it's such a high roll and you can go more deeps on other slots as a result. Reason being - you can get 7% AS on other slots if you really want AS and give up much less vit. So something like:

Stats could look like this:

+10% Damage
1100 STR
7% IAS
25% Seismic Slam Damage
Socket (Ramalandi's Gift)
(Secondary)
