If so is there any talk of wielding at least one 2 handed weapon with an offhand 1 hander?

In my opinion, spenders at the very least need to be looked at . I have played on the PTR and like the WW and FC changes , however WW still seems a bit weak. Any response or comments are appreciated.
2) No. 2H as 1H is the Crusader's thing. Contrary to popular belief barbarians in D2 wielding a 2H wep as a 1H wep actually used (roughly) 1H wep stats for the weapon. Mighty weapons are intended to fulfill the "giant weapons" fantasy. And they do so relatively well for the most part.
3) They'll probably see some work. Dunno what's going on in PTR specifically, or what further changes may be coming.
Blizzard hasn't really been talking about barbs. They made Raekor set OP with the new Vile Ward and have just been doing minor buffs here and there to other specs. They really ought to put a cap on Vile Ward.
I want to see more buffs to IK set since it is very open ended. The fury generation rune for CotA let's you have your pick of fury spender for a generator-less build but then you're stuck with low dmg physical element pets and your spenders aren't as good as charge or quake, and barely better than generators now that depth diggers can make them double dmg. The fire rune makes CotA do decent dmg but still far worse than other classes' pets. And then there's the damage reduction rune but that still leaves you with awful dmg pets and 3-4 slots sucked up by IK when you could get the same reduction from Pledge of Caldium belt if you have a high CDR build.
IK or a new legendary should make CotA use all runes for it to be a decent choice.
FIX NO ESCAPE PASSIVE
(it doesnt apply to boulder toss 100% - dunno about other runes)
-Boulder Toss needs the 20% dmg increased to 25% and the cost reduced to 20 fury points and the AOE increased from 9 to at
least 11yards !
For 300Spear (has a chance to drop with one of 4 unique afixxes)
-Boulder Toss now turns into a ball of magma fire and hits 13yards AOE and burns for 500% weapon dmg over 5 sec (fire)
-Boulder Toss now turns into a spear of lightning and hits 13yards AOE and stuns for 2 sec (lightning)
-Boulder Toss now turns into a giant snowball and hits 13 yards AOE and slows for 6sec (cold)
-Boulder Toss now turns into a bigger boulder and hits 13 yards AOE and immobilizes for 2sec (physical)
all affected by elemental skill dmg%
-Weapons Master should count for both weapons
Barbarian is most melee class and is the most weakest class - need more basic defense - without requiring to use a skill or passive, just make him have 5k more armor standard or +250all res at least !
What??? You're calling barb the most melee class even though you're clearly interested in playing it with a ranged spec. Also, Boulder Toss is a rune of Ancient Spear; it makes no sense to give a legendary affix that affects a single rune in multiple ways.

Maybe you shouldn't play the Barb if you think they're the weakest class lol. You want to just magically have more armor and resist all so you don't have to use passives for defense? Yeah... that makes no sense. I run T6 with minimal defensive skills (Warcry, Bloodthirst, Superstition) and do absolutely fine.
Also, I agree with the others that tuning a weapon to buff a single rune of a skill is not practical. The item currently buffs all variations of Ancient Spear and weapon throw... The fact that they created a dedicated throwing weapon at all is more than enough for most players.

If you take a look at the PTR forum and have kept a tab on all PTR updates since 2.1 started testing. You will notice a couple of things.
Barbs buffs are not a direct, dedicated rework of the class, unlike Wizzards and Monks.
The Devs openly admit to not playing barb, they play DH, Wiz, WD and Sader. Travis Days favourite class is Sader. They have stated several times on theorycraft Thursdays they are happy with Sader and WD so dont expect too much from 2.1, which explains why Monk and Wiz have probably had the most tinkering so far in the PTR.
All of the buffs for 2.1 in relation to barb have been "quick fixes" ie, E&M bug fix, fix, EQ base buff etc. There have been many posts in the PTR and barb forum with detailed feedback (including myself) requesting the IK set be reworked, generators and spenders be looked at in detail (not a slight increase here or there) and Mighty Weapons have as many affixes as Sader Legendary Flails. And of course, let us DW 2 handers.
All of these threads have gone unanswered by blues unlike the Wiz and Monk PTR change threads. Unfortunately I take it as a sign that the devs do not plan to ever make the barb competitive again. However, Ill keep playing it though and making suggestions on the forums.
To answer your question, no I dont think there will be any large scale changes to come for the barb as I believe all the major ones have been implemented. Looking at the last patch notes which were very small in comparison to previous ones, this tells me 2.1 isnt too far away (2-3 weeks IMO).
